Whale on the Shore is a Reported Incident in 112 Operator that is only available with the Water Operations DLC. It can only occur on water, and reached only by water or airborne vehicles. This rare incident requires only firefighter response, and has only one incident site. It can start occurring on the very first duty of any game.
The incident involves a whale that has strayed out of open water and became trapped in the shallows. A technical team must push and guide the whale back to open waters.
Conditions to Spawn[]
The Whale on the Shore incident requires the Water Operations DLC to be installed and active. This incident can spawn on any Duty in any game mode. This incident is rare among water incidents.
This incident may only spawn in a Water district. If the player does not control any water districts, the incident cannot spawn. This incident will always spawn close to the shoreline.
No weather, event, or nighttime modifiers change the frequency at which this incident occurs.
Resolution[]
The Whale on the Shore incident must be reached within 600 seconds of real time (on SLOW game speed) or it will automatically fail. This a relatively short amount of time for water incidents, especially if your boats aren't spread out properly.
The reputation reward for resolving this incident is +2.
The penalty for ignoring this incident is -2, subjected to multipliers from the current difficulty setting.
Scene Elements[]
This incident contains one scene with only a single firefighter element.
Description[]
The scene takes place in open water, with the whale visible under the surface. The whale is a tech element that requires 300 Work Seconds to resolve. This is fairly trivial for any firefighter crew to handle, but would be a bit much for police or medics.
