Weird Acting Person is a Reported Incident in 112 Operator. An uncommon incident, it requires only police response, though medical units may need to respond if a shootout occurs. It has only one incident site. This incident can spawn at any stage of the game, including the very first Duty.
The incident involves an armed individual who is acting suspiciously. Police must confront the person to determine their intentions. In some cases, the individual will turn their weapons on the police, resulting in a fight in which they might be injured. In other cases, the individual must be arrested and taken to prison, or simply questioned by police and let go.
Conditions to Spawn[]
The Weird Acting Person incident can spawn at any stage of the game, from the very first Duty onward. This is true for all game modes. It is an uncommon incident in all cases.
This incident has the same chance to spawn in any type of district.
A poorly-managed Demonstration that has already gone fully violent may spawn this incident in its vicinity if it is not under full control. However, it is a very rare incident to spawn this way, compared to all other incidents that might spawn near such a Demonstration.
Resolution[]
The Weird Acting Person incident must be reached within 600 seconds of real time (on SLOW game speed) or it will automatically fail.
The reputation reward for resolving this incident is +2.
The penalty for ignoring this incident is -2, depending on multipliers from the current difficulty setting.
Scene Elements[]
The Weird Acting Person incident contains one scene with a single police element.
Description[]
The scene contains nothing but the suspect, who is armed with either a handgun or rifle. What happens when police arrive at the scene is entirely up to chance.
The suspect has a 0.5 Aggression score, which means they are quite likely to start a fight with the police. In about half those cases, however, the suspect will surrender immediately or as soon as the police start fighting back. This could result in an injury, which would require medical attention and transportation to a hospital.
The suspect may need to be arrested and taken to prison. This happens if they surrendered to the police (whether before or during a fight), but can also just happen by default, in 30% of cases.
If no fight broke out, and the suspect did not surrender, then they are a Witness. In this case, they simply need to be questioned by police, which takes 100 Work Seconds.
Since the suspect is armed, and may be carrying a dangerous rifle, it may be best to overwhelm them with a superior number of police officers; though in most cases, 2 officers can handle this on their own.
