The Water Ambulance is the "standard" medical boat that was added with the 112 Operator Water Operations DLC. As its name suggests, it is the water-based equivalent to an Ambulance, carrying 2 medics to an incident site and providing them with a small skill bonus, and then evacuating up to two injured passengers to hospital. It sits comfortably between the Medical Dinghy and Medical Transport Boat in every respect, while also boasting the highest speed among medical boats.

Overview[]
The Water Ambulance is the "mainstay" medical boat added to the game by the Water Operations DLC. It will typically be unlocked a few days into a career, scenario or freeplay game, or as soon as a water district becomes unlocked - whichever comes later.
The Water Ambulance provides good overall medical capabilities, packaged together with very high speed for a medical boat. As such, it is often the most common medical boat unit, making up the bulk of the rescue fleet - though it is closely rivaled by the Medical Transport Boat in this role. The price for all of these features isn't very high either, at only €58,000 per Water Ambulance - slightly higher than the cost of a regular Ambulance.
The Water Ambulance carries 2 medics on board (same as any other medical water vehicle), and can also carry 2 injured passengers back to hospital when needed. In addition, it provides both crew-members with a +0.3 Injury skill bonus, speeding up treatment by a moderate amount. This allows a Water Ambulance to resolve most medical incidents on its own, without support from other vehicles; though it is usually better to send at least two Ambulances to the larger incidents (e.g. food poisoning, or shootouts with smugglers and kidnappers).
Despite being one of the larger medical boats, the Water Ambulance is very fast, boasting a top speed of 155 - the same as a Medical Jet Ski. A single Water Ambulance can therefore cover a much larger area of water on its own, compared to the next cheaper medical boat (the Medical Dinghy).
When comparing the Water Ambulance to the next larger boat - the Medical Transport Boat - things aren't quite as clear-cut. The Medical Transport Boat carries twice as many injured passengers, and provides its crew with twice as much of a skill bonus - all for just €12,000 more than the Water Ambulance. It is also not much slower, with a top speed of 145. Whether the trade-off is worthwhile depends partly on personal preference and financial opportunities.
