Vehicle Theft is a Reported Incident in 112 Operator. One of the more common incidents, it requires only police response, with a very small chance of a fight. It has only one incident site, which requires a chase. This incident can only spawn once the initial grace period is over (Duty 4+ of Campaign mode).

The incident involves arresting a car thief, who is trying to run away from the police. He may be armed, and will occasionally decide to fight.

This incident can be auto-resolved by a Speed Camera to receive money instead of Reputation.

Conditions to Spawn[]

The Vehicle Theft incident can only spawn once level 2 calls have been unlocked. In Campaign mode, this happens on Duty #4.

This incident tends to spawn in Slum districts, but is also quite common in Residential and Business districts. It has a reduced chance of spawning in Industrial districts and Parks. It will not occur at all during rain or snow.

During a Blackout event, this incident is somewhat likely to spawn during the first half of the Duty, and extremely likely to spawn during the second half.

With The Last Duty DLC, this incident is extremely likely to spawn during the criminal phase of the Last Duty scenario. It will never spawn after the Infected begin to attack.

Resolution[]

The Vehicle Theft incident must be reached within 600 seconds of real time (on SLOW game speed) or it will automatically fail.

The highest reputation reward possible for resolving this incident is +2.

The maximum possible penalty for ignoring this incident is -2, depending on multipliers from the current difficulty setting.

This incident will be automatically resolved if it enters the effect radius of a Speed Camera. If so, you receive no Reputation reward, but instead receive €1,000 - €1,500 instantly.

112 IncidentIcon P Arrest Scene Elements[]

The Vaehicle Theft incident contains one chase scene with a single police element. However, since a shootout may occur, medical units may need to be on stand-by to respond as well.

112 IncidentSubicon Chase Chase[]

This scene begins to move as soon as it spawns. Its maximum speed is 120, making it difficult to stop with Pickup Trucks or anything slower. Patrol Cars or faster vehicles are recommended.

The driver has a Police Avoidance value of 0.7, meaning that he is very likely to attempt to move in the opposite direction of any police units. This makes him difficult to trap, but easier to push towards a Speed Camera.

Description[]

The scene contains a car with one criminal inside, possibly armed with a knife. The criminal must be arrested, and has a small chance a starting a fight with the police - though he often surrenders immediately.

Trivia[]

The Localization files suggest this this was originally a two-scene incident, with the car's owner being found injured at a separate, static location. This is completely missing from the incident script, perhaps because it would make the incident identical to a Hit-and-Run.
