Unknown Illness is a Reported Incident in 112 Operator. This relatively rare incident requires only minor medical response, and has only one incident site. It can start occurring on the very first duty of any game.

The incident involves an elderly person who is feeling ill. Medics must treat the person and determine whether or not they need to go to hospital.

With the Pandemic Outbreak DLC, a large number of Unknown Illness scenarios appearing one after the other is a very good indicator for the start of a COVID event, which will last 4 Duties.

Conditions to Spawn[]

The Unknown Illness incident can spawn on any Duty in any game mode. Normally, it is a fairly rare incident.

This incident most commonly occurs in Residential districts, and may occur in Slums. It occurs much more rarely in any other district types.

The incident always spawns on a building. Note that some maps have buildings inside parks or wilderness areas.

Cold weather doubles the chance for this incident to occur, though it remains somewhat uncommon.

With the Pandemic Outbreak DLC, on the first Duty of the COVID outbreak event, this incident suddenly becomes the single most common incident that can spawn. Since it is otherwise rare, a large number of Unknown Illness incidents spawning on the map is a good indicator that the event has already started.

Resolution[]

The Unknown Illness incident must be reached within 1200 seconds of real time (on SLOW game speed) or it will automatically fail. This is plenty of time - nearly half a Duty.

The reputation reward for resolving this incident is +1.

The penalty for ignoring this incident is -1, depending on multipliers from the current difficulty setting.

Description[]

The scene takes place in a home, with the sick elderly person inside. The person is in fairly good health, but must still be treated by medics, and has a 50% chance to require transport to hospital.
