Tree Fell on a Car is a Reported Incident in 112 Operator. A normally rare incident, it requires only firefighter response, and has only one incident site. This incident can spawn at any stage of the game, including the very first Duty.
The incident involves a tree that has fallen onto a parked car, creating a small traffic jam. Firefighters must reach the scene and pull the tree away - a medium-effort tech job - to allow traffic to resume.
This is one of a handful of Reported Incidents in the game that can be summarily ignored without losing any points. Units should respond only if they literally have nothing better to do.
Conditions to Spawn[]
The Tree Fell on a Car incident can spawn at any stage of the game, from the very first Duty onward. This is true for all game modes. This incident is normally rare.
This incident is twice as likely to occur in Park districts, and a reduced chance to occur in Business districts, compared to all other district types.
This incident can only spawn on a road.
During Windy weather, this incident is five times more common than otherwise.
The Tornado event will always spawn this incident once, as soon as it begins. Additional instances have a chance to spawn near the tornado funnel as it moves through the city.
The Earthquake event may also cause this incident to spawn, though quite rarely.
Resolution[]
The Tree Fell on a Car incident must be reached within 800 seconds of real time (on SLOW game speed) or it will automatically fail. This is a little longer than the average response time.
The reputation reward for resolving this incident is +1.
The penalty for ignoring this incident is 0, making this one of the handful of incidents that can be ignored without wasting any time or effort.
Scene Elements[]
The Tree Fell on a Car incident contains one scene with only a single firefighter element.
Traffic Jam[]
As soon as this scene is created, it begins to generate a Traffic Jam that will expand at a rate of 0.05 along every connecting street. This is a rather slow spread rate, unlikely to cause much of a problem on its own, but still a potential problem over time.
The Traffic Jam will slow down all ground-based units attempting to travel through it. Smaller vehicles move faster through Traffic Jams, and airborne vehicles ignore them completely.
As soon as the scene is resolved, the Traffic Jam will begin to clear, from the center outwards.
Description[]
The scene contains the fallen tree, sitting on top of the damaged car. The tree is a tech element which takes anywhere between 400 and 1,000 Work Seconds to resolve. This is not too substantial, and can be resolved by most firefighting units within a reasonable amount of time.
Since the reward for resolving this incident is so poor (only +1 Reputation), it is often best to send a small crew to this scene - if any. If a more major incident appears nearby, consider ignoring this incident (no penalty for doing so) and sending the unit there instead.
