The Transport Ambulance is a land-based medical vehicle in 112 Operator, typically unlocked at the very start of the game, whose primary purpose is to transport up to 3 injured passengers to hospital. Though it has a large crew of 3 medics, it provides them with no bonus to their skills, making this vehicle somewhat less effective at speedy treatment compared to a regular Ambulance. Other than these differences, the Transport Ambulance is identical to a regular Ambulance.
Description[]
"An ambulance which can transport more people, but is not that well equipped."
Overview[]
The Transport Ambulance is usually unlocked at the start of a career, scenario, or freeplay game, and should serve as a backup unit to "standard" Ambulances.
The Transport Ambulance carries a crew of 3 medics, just like a standard Ambulance, but does not provide them with any skill bonuses. This makes it somewhat less effective at actual treatment of injured people at an incident site, though three medics can still do good work if they can reach the site first.
The primary advantage of the Transport Ambulance, however, is that it can carry 3 injured passengers to hospital simultaneously - 50% more than the standard Ambulance. As such, the Transport Ambulance is invaluable when clearing an incident site with multiple casualties, such as a large traffic accident, police shootout, terrorist attack, and so forth. Even if the Transport Ambulance takes some time to arrive at the scene, it can be of great assistance in resolving the incident quickly and freeing up other units to go do something else; just make sure that other medical units arrive first to start treating the injured and preparing them to be transported.
The Transport Ambulance has the same driving properties as a normal Ambulance, with a mediocre maximum speed of 100. Just like a normal Ambulance, it struggles in offroad conditions, moving at a speed of only 25. Still, as long as the Transport Ambulance can get to the incident by the time all critically-injured people have been prepared for transport to hospital, it can still be of great help in removing them from the site.
The Transport Ambulance costs only €50,000, just like a normal Ambulance, but its specialized utility means that you probably won't have to buy as many of them. It is generally better to spread out a few Transport Ambulances across the map to assist with any mass-casualty incident that might occur in their vicinity, while relying on regular Ambulances to do the actual medical response work.
