Plot[]

This call has only one storyline, with two possible endings which are difficult to tell apart until you receive your Reputation reward: Only one will award you with the full +3 Reputation.

Additionally, there are ways to IGNORE the call entirely without suffering negative consequences (but forfeiting any reward as well). That path is described separately, below.

Summary[]

Senatorial assistant Jenny Wilis calls 911 in a panic to report that her boss, U.S. Senator Stampson, is dead. When questioned by the operator, Wilis reports that she thought her boss had gone home that evening, and the lights were off in his office; but when she entered the office she found Stampson hanging from the ceiling.

The operator instructs Wilis not to touch anything and leave the room. She goes to do so, but then suddenly notices the Senator's body moving. However, it turns out to be because a window in the office is open. The operator once again instructs Wilis not to touch anything and leave.

Police units are dispatched to the scene to question Wilis and begin investigating the incident.

LEAVE THE ROOM
Operator The police will investigate that. Leave the room and wait for the emergency services. They're already on the way. Reputation set to 3.
Caller Ok... Please, hurry. Call ended.

Choices to Avoid[]

Do not tell the caller to CLOSE THE WINDOW or IT'S IMPORTANT, unless you wish to IGNORE the call (see below). Both options will zero out your Reputation reward.

Furthermore, it's important not to tell the caller to LEAVE THE ROOM before checking whether the Senator is really dead. Doing so reduces your reward by -1 Reputation.

Ignoring the Call[]

Another way to handle this call is to IGNORE it completely. This awards you no Reputation whatsoever, but carries no penalty either, and could be useful if you have no units to send.

There are two ways to achieve this ending. The shortest way is to follow the same path as described in the Optimal Conversation above; but instead of telling the caller to LEAVE THE ROOM at the very end, tell her to CLOSE THE WINDOW. The call ends, and you can just click IGNORE.
