This article describes the best solution(s) to the Suicide Attempt Call Incident. Follow the instructions below to learn how to get the most Reputation Points and/or other benefits, and avoid unnecessary penalties or complications.
The Suicide Attempt incident is completely linear; it will work the exact same way each time you play it. As a result, the instructions given in this article will always be best.
Choice of Reward[]
This incident gives you two options to choose from, based on what you want to accomplish:
- Ignore the call immediately, gaining 5 Reputation points without any extra effort, and keeping your units free for other incidents.
- Send police units to the site to receive exactly 11 Reputation points.
Below are instructions on how to do either of these things as efficiently as possible.
Optimal Conversation - Incident Ignored[]
Due to an apparent typo, the incident script sets the penalty for ignoring the call at +5 points. This is changed to a negative number later in the conversation. As a result, ignoring the call before making any of the choices that alter the penalty will grant you 5 Reputation points instantly.
If you do not wish to waste time or effort on this incident, and don't mind receiving a smaller reward than the potential maximum (which is 11 points), simply ignore this call as soon as you recognize it:
| Speaker | Dialogue | Extra Effects | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Operator | - 112, what's your emergency? | ||
| Caller | - Oh, I've... finally reached you. Hi. | ||
| IGNORE the call to receive 5 Reputation points. | |||
Optimal Conversation - Emergency Response[]
Following this conversation flow will end the conversation quickly with the caller's address and a massive Reputation Reward bonus. Send a single police unit (literally any police unit will do) to the scene to receive a total of +11 Reputation upon resolving it.
