Specialist Vehicle is an Event in 112 Operator. It triggers on Duty #9 of a Campaign Game, and can trigger during almost any part of a Freeplay game on any difficulty. It never occurs in any Scenario game.
In this event, the operator's boss notifies him that an audit has discovered that he doesn't have enough specialist fire units in his districts. The boss asks the operator to purchase an Aerial Ladder Truck to assist with potential incidents in tall buildings.
The event lasts a total of 4 Duties, during which it tracks the player's vehicle purchases as part of the Specialist Vehicle objective. A small amount of money is rewarded if and when a single Aerial Ladder Truck has been purchased.
Effects[]
This event runs for a total of 4 Duties. It adds an Objective that must be fulfilled by the end of the 4th Duty, and spawns specific Reported Incidents along the way.
Objective[]
The Specialist Vehicle objective is added to the player's objectives list as soon as this event begins.
This objective tracks the player's vehicle purchases. Once an Aerial Ladder Truck is purchased, the event concludes, and the player is rewarded with €10,000 in compensation.
The check occurs at the end of each of the four Duties. Therefore, if a ladder truck was purchased at the start of any Duty, then the objective will be immediately fulfilled at the end of that same Duty.
The game only checks whether the ladder truck was purchased. It does not care whether the truck is currently in use, nor whether it is still in the player's possession by the end of the Duty. For example, it is possible to fulfill this objective by purchasing an Aerial Ladder Truck and immediately selling it.
Forced Incidents[]
The Specialist Vehicle event specifically spawns two Reported Incidents during its run, both of which are related to the "High Altitude Work" skill provided by an Aerial Ladder Truck.
On the second Duty of the event, it always spawns an Incident at a Construction Site incident.
On the third Duty of the event, it always spawns a Fire In A Tall Building incident.
No extra incidents are spawned during the first and last Duties.
These incidents are only spawned if the event has not already been concluded by the Duty in which they are supposed to spawn. For example, purchasing an Aerial Ladder Truck on the event's first duty means that neither of the above incidents will spawn.
Game Types[]
This event has different trigger conditions and/or effects depending on the type of game being played.
Campaign Game[]
In a Campaign game, the Specialist Vehicle event always begins on Duty #9, and ends on Duty #12.
- An Incident at a Construction Site incident always happens at the halfway point of Duty #10.
- A Fire In A Tall Building incident always happens at the halfway point of Duty #11.
The Pandemic Outbreak DLC does not change the timing or behavior of this event.
Freeplay Game[]
The Specialist Vehicle event may occur on any difficulty setting. At any difficulty except "Junior", it may occur on any given Duty. At "Junior" difficulty, it must wait until at least Duty #4.
In all cases, the event will run for 4 Duties.
There is no guarantee that this event will spawn at all during a given Freeplay game, but the open-ended window of opportunity means that it will eventually spawn if you keep playing.
The Specialist Vehicle event cannot be switched off when starting a new Freeplay game.
This event is flagged as "not lonely", which means that it may occur concurrently with any other event that is also "not lonely".
Once the event has triggered, it will not occur again during the same Freeplay game.
Note: The Freeplay version of the event was apparently supposed to reward the player with 2 Career Points. However, it seems that the bonus was added to the wrong script file, since 2 Career Points are awarded for the event only in a Campaign game (and only with Pandemic Outbreak installed), where Career Points are completely meaningless.
Scenario Game[]
There are currently no official Scenarios in which this event will occur.
