911/112 Operator Wiki

"He's... he seems to...not... have... face?!"

Slenderman is a Call Incident in 112 Operator. With a Call Level of 0, it is allowed to trigger on any Duty that allows random Call Incidents, including the very first Duty. This call only spawns a single incident site, which requires only police response. The call dialogue is completely predictable (no randomized responses from the caller).

The incident involves a woman calling 112 to report that she's being followed home by a man with no face. It quickly becomes apparent that the woman is returning from a party where she has taken some sort of hallucinogen. She is not only delusional, but is becoming aggressive towards the imagined threat. Police must confront her to put her under arrest and take her to prison, but in her state she may attack them.

For the best solution to this call, see this guide.

Opening Lines[]

Speaker Line
Operator 112, what's your emergency?
Caller Emergency! Yes!

Trigger Conditions[]

The Slenderman incident has a Call Level of 0. This means that the call may randomly happen on any Duty - including the very first one - if the game decides to trigger a random Call Incident on that Duty.

Once this call is triggered, it will not be triggered again for the remainder of the game - except in Freeplay mode if "Repeated Calls" have been enabled.

Structure[]

The Slenderman incident is a Call Incident, which begins with a phone conversation with a citizen. The call is completely predictable: it contains no randomized responses from the caller, and the outcome depends entirely on choices made by the operator; the same choices will always lead to the same results.

This incident contains only a single scene, which becomes visible on the map if the caller is asked for their address. If the address hasn't been acquired during the conversation, the call can be traced instead, which takes approximately 450 real-time seconds (on SLOW game speed).

No matter which dialog path is chosen, it has no effect on the scene itself; however there is one specific conversation path that causes the Reputation Reward to plummet, and should be avoided.

Call Summary[]

The Slenderman incident begins with a woman calling 112 in great distress, claiming that a man is following her home. When asked to describe the man, she says he has no face. She insists that this is not a joke.

The operator begins to suspect that the woman is hallucinating. Through questions, he determines that the woman is on her way back from a party. She initially denies taking drugs there, but eventually admits it. The operator assures her that he will send police units to investigate.

Upon arrival, police may find the woman in a psychotic state and will have to subdue her and take her to custody. However she is just as likely to be completely docile, in which case the officers only need to reprimand her for reckless drug use.

Negative Choices[]

The operator can (intentionally or otherwise) exacerbate the woman's hysteria, even going so far as suggesting that she arm herself with a weapon when she gets home. She might then pick up her "favorite knife", break her phone, or even break a window in an attempt to attack her imaginary stalker. In any case, many Reputation points are lost. Still, the operator can mitigate some of this by telling the woman to stop her aggressive behavior, but it's impossible to undo all of the damage.

Slenderman Scene[]

The Slenderman incident contains only a single scene, which is hidden at first. This scene only appears on the map once either of the following conditions is met:

  1. The caller was asked for her location.
  2. About 450 seconds of real-time have elapsed (on SLOW game speed) from the moment the conversation began.

The scene contains a single police element. However, a fight may occur, so it is advisable to keep a medical unit on standby.

Description[]

This scene takes place at the caller's house. She is still inside.

In about 50% of cases, the caller requires only questioning by police officers.

In the other 50% of cases, however, the woman has entered a psychotic state and will attack the officers with her fists. She may surrender or continue attacking until she is injured. If she surrenders, she must be arrested and taken to prison. If she is injured, she will require treatment and transport to hospital instead. Since she is unarmed, melee / riot weapons are recommended to take her down without injury.

Resolution[]

There is no time limit to reach this scene.

The Reputation Reward for resolving this scene is +5. It will drop to 0 if the caller is told to FIND A WEAPON, but this mistake can then be somewhat mitigated if the caller is told that HELP IS ON THE WAY!, increasing the reward to +4. Unfortunately, there is no way to win those +4 points without losing them first.

The penalty for ignoring this scene is always -5, subject to multipliers from the current difficulty setting.

Trivia[]

Slenderman[]

Slenderman or Slender Man is a "common use" fictional creature that originated on the internet, and has been used as a popular central figure in 21st-century horror stories. It is often described as being a tall, slender humanoid, dressed in a suit and having no facial features. For the most part, the creature specializes in terrorizing people by simply stalking them wherever they go, though it may have any number of other behaviors and properties.

Script Error[]

Telling the caller to FIND A WEAPON was supposed to equip her scene element with a knife - making her more dangerous to police officers, in accordance with the After-Action Report. However, due to a mistake in the script, she will never get the knife.
