Sharp Tool Injury is a Reported Incident in 112 Operator. This generally-uncommon incident requires only medical response, and has only one incident site. It can start occurring on the very first duty of any game.
The incident involves a person who has lacerated themselves with some unspecified sharp tool, causing substantial blood loss. Their condition deteriorates over time, and is ultimately life-threatening. Medical units must reach the location quickly, administer treatment, and remove the person to hospital.
Conditions to Spawn[]
The Sharp Tool Injury incident can spawn on any Duty in any game mode. It is a relatively uncommon incident, but becomes very rare during the night.
This incident has an equal chance of occurring in any type of district.
Resolution[]
The Sharp Tool Injury incident must be reached within 1000 seconds of real time (on SLOW game speed) or it will automatically fail. This is plenty of time - nearly half a Duty. However, note that the injured person will die much sooner than that if not treated, costing a large amount of Reputation.
The reputation reward for resolving this incident is +3. This is reduced to -2 if the victim dies - making it impossible to win any points from his incident
The maximum penalty for ignoring this incident is -8, which happens if this incident is ignored after the patient has already died of their bleeding injury. Ignoring the incident before then costs only -3 points. All of this is further subject to multipliers from the current difficulty setting.
Scene Elements[]
This incident contains one scene with a single medical element.
Description[]
The scene takes place in the open. The injured person is waiting for medics at the scene.
The patient starts middling health (50-70 hp) when the incident spawns, but immediately starts losing between -0.02 and -0.1 hp every real-time second (on SLOW game speed). This gives you a minimum of 500 seconds to reach and treat the patient before they die. Always assume the worst, since a death will cost a massive number of Reputation points off your score even if you resolve the incident.
Once the patient is treated, they must be taken to a hospital.
