As a Scripted Call, Power Cut can only be triggered after the Earthquake, as part of that chain of events.

During Career play, it will only occur once in San Francisco, Duty 1.

Plot 1[]

(This call has only one possible plot-line.)

Summary[]

Following a massive earthquake, a woman named Anna Stark calls from the "Silence Evening" care facility. She reports that the power still hasn't come back in her area, and that the facility's back-up generator was damaged in the quake. One of her patients, an elderly man with an artificial heart, is in mortal danger due to the inability to recharge his battery. Having exhausted all other options to save his life, she called 911.

Acting on Stark's suggestions for a solution, the operator sends an ambulance to collect the old patient, as well as a tech team to repair the facility's generator - ensuring that no other patients will need rescue later on.

  • On arrival at the scene, units find the caller, Anna Stark, as well as the old man with the artificial heart and the broken generator.
  • Anna Stark is Resolved by default, and does not require any interactions.
  • The old man is hurt and requires both treatment and transport to hospital, though his Bleeding is initially minimal (he would take 100 minutes to actually die). However, 120 seconds after the call is triggered, the Battery will run out and the old man will die within another 60 seconds if not rescued.
  • The generator must be repaired by firefighters. Doing so before the Battery timer runs out will completely disable that timer, effectively removing any danger the old man. Therefore, responding quickly with firefighters gives you as much time as needed to send an ambulance later on.
