911/112 Operator Wiki

"Look, its really hard to handle 20 kids at the same time, ok? Especially when they move so much!"

Possible Concussion is a Call Incident in 112 Operator. It is allowed to trigger only once Level-2 Calls have been unlocked (in Campaign mode, that happens on Duty #7). This call only spawns a single incident site that requires basic medical and police response. The call dialogue is completely predictable (no randomized responses from the caller).

The incident involves the master of a martial arts dojo calling to report that one of the children he'd been teaching might've suffered a concussion. The operator talks the man through a concussion check, and establishes that the child is fine, just bruised. He advises the dojo master to call the child's parents to take her home. Units may be sent to check the child and question the dojo master, but the reward for all this effort is very minimal. If the call is handled correctly, it can be summarily ignored, instead.

For the best solution to this call, see this guide.

Trigger Conditions[]

The Possible Concussion incident cannot trigger before Level-2 calls have been unlocked. In a Campaign game, that happens on Duty #7.

Once this call is triggered, it will not be triggered again for the remainder of the game - except in Freeplay mode if "Repeated Calls" have been enabled.

Structure[]

The Possible Concussion incident is a Call Incident, which begins with a phone conversation with a citizen. The call is completely predictable: it contains no randomized responses from the caller, and the outcome depends entirely on choices made by the operator; the same choices will always lead to the same results.

This incident contains only a single scene, which becomes visible on the map if the caller is asked for their address. If the address hasn't been acquired during the conversation, the call can be traced instead, which takes approximately 450 real-time seconds (on SLOW game speed).

Call Summary[]

The Possible Concussion incident begins with a martial arts dojo master calling 112 to report that one of the children he'd been teaching might have a concussion. He claims the child - a 7-year-old girl - ran into a door frame during warm-up. He says she is crying, and has a bruise on her head.

The operator asks the caller to tell the girl to jump. The caller reports that the child has jumped without a problem. The operator reassures him that this means the child is not concussed. He advises the dojo master to call the child's parents to come pick her up, and marks the incident as "ignored".

Negative Choices[]

The operator can accuse the dojo master of putting the children in danger, and say he's sending the police. The man tries to defend himself, saying that he has to teach 20 children and can't keep an eye on every single one of them all of the time. If the operator persists in his accusations, the caller is indignant and hangs up the phone. The call can still be traced to discover the school's location if necessary, but any actions will now lead to losing Reputation points.

The Possible Concussion incident contains only a single scene, which is hidden at first. This scene only appears on the map once either of the following conditions is met:

  1. The caller was asked for his location.
  2. About 450 seconds of real-time have elapsed (on SLOW game speed) from the moment the conversation began.

The scene always spawns at a School. The location of all schools on the map is based on real-world data.

The scene contains one medical element and one police element.

Description[]

This scene takes place in a building. The caller is inside with the injured child.

The child is fine, but still needs to have a quick check by the medics. She does not require transportation to hospital.

The caller must be questioned by police.

Resolution[]

There is no time limit to reach this scene.

The default reputation reward for resolving this scene is +1.

The default penalty for ignoring this scene is -3, subject to multipliers from the current difficulty setting.

Both the reward and penalty decrease by -3 points if the player chooses the option DOESN'T MATTER, after threatening to send police to the school. This makes it impossible to gain any Reputation points.

Conversely, telling the caller NO EMERGENCY THEN completely eliminates the penalty for ignoring the scene, which is generally the best course of action.

Trivia[]

This call is one of three Call Incidents from the same dojo. The call's script indicates that the operator was originally able to recognize this fact, chiding the dojo master for having yet another accident at his school. That part of the call has been removed, probably to allow the three calls to be played in any order.

The dojo master's name is Bartek Gajewski - the lead developer of 911 Operator and 112 Operator. He also voices the character in the English-language version of the game.
