911/112 Operator Wiki

See also: People On The Boat (v1).

People on the Boat is the name of a pair of Incidents in the 112 Operator Water Operations DLC that are part of the Sinking Cruise Ship event, and can only spawn as part of that event. While having a similar name and similar properties, the two incidents are distinct from each other. This specific incident is the more complex of the two.

This particular incident only occurs when the sinking ship is a cruise ship (not a ferry), and will always occur in that circumstance. This incident may only occur on water, and reached only by water or airborne vehicles. It requires massive medical response, and has only one incident site.

The incident involves between 6 and 12 people who could not find a life raft, and must be evacuated from the ferry by emergency units. Medics must check them one by one, and transport them to a harbor or hospital.

Conditions to Spawn[]

This version of the People on the Boat incident requires the Water Operations DLC to be installed and active.

The incident does not spawn during normal play; it can only spawn if the Sinking Cruise Ship event is triggered - if it is ever triggered at all. Even then, it will only spawn if the sinking ship in question is a small or large cruise ship (and will always spawn in that specific circumstance).

In the case of a large cruise ship, two separate instances of this incident will spawn, with a potentially different number of elements in each.

This incident always spawns in the water next to the sinking ship, and can only be reached by water and airborne vehicles.

Resolution[]

This version of the People on the Boat incident must be reached within 600 seconds of real time (on SLOW game speed) or it will automatically fail. If other units are busy with other rescue operations near the ship, sending a police boat to this incident will at least prevent it from timing out until proper medical units can respond.

The reputation reward for resolving this incident is +5, regardless of how many randomized elements have been added to the scene.

The penalty for ignoring this incident is -5, regardless of randomly-added elements, and subject to multipliers from the current difficulty setting.

Scene Elements[]

This incident contains one scene with anywhere between 6 and 12 medical elements.

Description[]

The scene takes place in open water, right next to the sinking ship. Between 6 and 12 passengers and crew are standing on the boat's upper deck, waiting for emergency units to rescue them.

Each of the people is only moderately injured at worst. They require some medical treatment, followed by transportation to a harbor or hospital.

Six people are always present. Each additional person has a 30% chance of spawning into the scene, independently of the others.

Though the chance of all 12 people appearing simultaneously is very low (about 1 in 1400), you should expect an average of about 8 people on the scene; they can't all be evacuated in a single trip. Therefore, consider sending a firefighter or police unit to guard the scene while medical unit(s) ferry the injured away.
