The Paramedic Fly Car is a land-based medical vehicle in 112 Operator. It is the fastest medical land vehicle that can carry injured passengers, and can be used to quickly reach and handle minor incidents in remote areas before the timer runs out. Alternatively, the Fly Car can be used like a Medical Response Motorcycle, to reach an incident first, start preliminary treatment while waiting for more medics to arrive, and contribute to removing injured people from the scene. With only two medics on board and no skill bonuses, however, the Fly Car can't be expected to handle major incidents on its own.
Description[]
"Fast but small. Perfect for less serious cases, when hospitalization is not needed."
Overview[]
The Paramedic Fly Car becomes unlocked partway through a career, scenario, or freeplay game. It serves as a middle-ground between an Ambulance and a Medical Response Motorcycle.
The Fly Car's main advantage is a maximum speed of 150, equivalent to a police Patrol Car. However, unlike the Medical Response Motorcycle, a Fly Car can carry 1 injured person away from a resolved incident site. These two properties together allow the Fly Car to handle minor medical incidents - which are the most common type of medical incident by far - without any help from other medical units, much faster than an Ambulance could.
The Paramedic Fly Car carries only 2 medics, compared to 3 in an Ambulance. Fortunately, two medics are all that's needed to handle a minor medical incident anyway. While the Fly Car does not provide any medical skill bonuses to its crew, this can be rectified by giving them (expensive) equipment instead.
Paramedic Fly Cars can also be used in the same way as a Medical Response Motorcycle when dealing with major medical incidents: Its speed allows it to reach the incident site quickly to begin administering treatment to the most severely injured people on the scene, while waiting for slower units like the Ambulance to make their way there to help. As an added bonus, the Fly Car can then carry one of the injured people back to the hospital with similar high speed, reducing the pressure on other Ambulances.
All of this comes at some cost, however: A single Paramedic Fly Car costs €80,000 to purchase, compared to only €50,000 for an Ambulance. While it is technically possible to rely solely on Medical Fly Cars instead of Ambulances, the larger crew and passenger capacity of an Ambulance more than justifies its use as a mainstay vehicle, even if money is no object. Nevertheless, purchasing a few Fly Cars to place in remote areas of the map can significantly ease the workload, once your Ambulance fleet starts getting overwhelmed with minor medical incidents all across the region.
Finally, note that an Air Ambulance is practically equivalent to a Paramedic Fly Car, while being much faster and ignoring any terrain or obstacles. However, the Air Ambulance is 2.5 times as expensive as a Fly Car, and is completely immobilized during strong winds.
