Overturned Car is an Incident in the 112 Operator Water Operations DLC that is part of multiple flood-related events, and can only spawn as part of those events. This incident requires only firefighter response, and has only one incident site.
The incident involves a car that has been flipped on its side by rushing waters from a flood and into the middle of a busy street, causing a large traffic jam. Firefighters must reach the scene and pull the car off the road to allow traffic to flow again.
Conditions to Spawn[]
The Overturned Car incident requires the Water Operations DLC to be installed and active. The incident will not happen during normal play, until such time that a flood-related event happens - if it happens at all. This includes the following events:
- Flood
- Tsunami
- Heavy Rainfall
Each of these events starts an invisible flood that appears to advance inland from every water source on the map. As it does, it can cause various flood-related incidents to occur. The Overturned Car incident is one of the incidents it can spawn.
The chance of picking this incident appears to be equal to all other flood-related incidents which are listed in the event scripts; one is simply picked completely at random.
This incident can only spawn on a road.
Resolution[]
The Overturned Car incident must be reached within 900 seconds of real time (on SLOW game speed) or it will automatically fail. This is slightly longer than average, but remember that a traffic jam will block the entire area until the incident is resolved, creating problems for units moving in the vicinity.
The reputation reward for resolving this incident is +1.
The penalty for ignoring this incident is -1, subjected to multipliers from the current difficulty setting.
Scene Elements[]
This incident contains one scene with a single firefighter element.
Traffic Jam[]
As soon as this scene is created, it begins to generate a Traffic Jam that will expand at a rate of 0.9 along every connecting street. This is close to the maximum traffic spread rate, which means that the traffic jam will reach its maximum size quite rapidly.
The Traffic Jam will slow down all ground-based units attempting to travel through it. Smaller vehicles move faster through Traffic Jams, and airborne vehicles ignore them completely.
As soon as the scene is resolved, the Traffic Jam will begin to clear, from the center outwards.
Description[]
The scene takes place on a road, where the car has been deposited on its side by the floods. The car is a tech element, requiring 550 Work Seconds to resolve. This is a medium-sized job, best handled by specialized technicians, but quite doable by most firefighter units within a reasonable amount of time. Remember, however, that the traffic jam will continue causing problems until the incident is resolved.
