- For the objective of the same name, see Missing Antique (112 Objective).
Missing Antique is a Reported Incident in 112 Operator. This incident may only occur as part of the Hidden Antique event. In Campaign mode, it'll happen on the Duty following the start of the event; whereas in a Freeplay mode, it'll happen on the same Duty when the event begins. It requires only police response, and has only one incident site.
The incident involves a report that the missing antique has been found. Police must reach the scene and inspect the item, as well as question the people who found it. Unfortunately, it turns out to be fake.
Conditions to Spawn[]
The Missing Antique incident cannot spawn at all during normal play; it will only ever spawn as part of the Hidden Antique event. The game script directly calls for this incident to occur on a specific day following the start of the event, depending on game mode:
- In Campaign mode, this incident will occur one Duty after receiving the Missing Antique objective.
- In Freeplay mode, the incident will occur on the same Duty that the objective is received.
It is unknown why there's a difference between the two game modes, since the finding of the real antique always occurs exactly 2 Duties after receiving the objective. This could be the result of a scripting typo.
Resolution[]
The Missing Antique incident must be reached within 1,000 seconds of real time (on SLOW game speed) or it will automatically fail. This is plenty of time, equal to 5 hours on the in-game clock.
The reputation reward for resolving this incident is +1.
The penalty for ignoring this incident is -1, subject to multipliers from the current difficulty setting.
Scene Elements[]
The Missing Antique incident contains one scene with 3 police elements, and an additional "decorative" element that does not need to be resolved.
Description[]
The scene takes place in the open. The people who reported the item are present, along with the item itself.
Police must inspect the item - a general Policework element that takes between 100 and 300 Work Seconds to resolve. This work does not benefit from officer equipment, so it could take a while to resolve; but experienced officers will complete it a little faster. Note that up to 4 officers can work this element simultaneously, speeding it up that way.
Additionally, two of the witnesses must be questioned by police. This is a rudimentary task, taking less time than the normal questioning work.
The third witness is considered "resolved" by default, and does not require any sort of interaction.
