911/112 Operator Wiki

Illegal Software is a Reported Incident in 112 Operator. As of the current version of the game, this incident cannot spawn under any circumstances whatsoever. It is a police incident with one site.

The incident involves a person who was found to be in possession of illegal copies of a software or data. Police must question the person - a trivial job.

Conditions to Spawn[]

The Illegal Software incident has a spawn priority value of 0, and that value is not changed by any event, weather, or time of day. As a result, this incident will never spawn in an unmodified game.

Had this incident been able to spawn, it would have an equal chance to spawn in any type of district, though it could only spawn on a building.

Resolution[]

The Illegal Software incident must be reached within 450 seconds of real time (on SLOW game speed) or it will automatically fail. This is short enough to make the incident "urgent", though any nearby police unit can resolve it without issues.

The reputation reward for resolving this incident is +1.

The penalty for ignoring this incident is -1, subject to multipliers from the current difficulty setting.

Trivia[]

In 911 Operator, an incident called "Illegal Software" would spawn very often during the game if the program detected any "tampering" with the game files. It is unclear what this was meant to accomplish (perhaps to scare potential software pirates that they might have been caught). However, due to that incident including a large fine that would be collected by the player, the high occurrence rate was very desirable.

It is currently unknown whether 112 Operator would also cause the "Illegal Software" incident to spawn at a higher rate if tampering is detected. Please add information if available.
