The incident involves a hornet nest that has been reported close to a populated area. To prevent hornet attacks, firefighters must find the nest and destroy it.
This is one of a handful of Reported Incidents in the game that can be summarily ignored without losing any points. Units should respond only if they literally have nothing better to do.

This incident is most likely to happen in Park districts, and least likely to happen in Business and Industrial districts, compared to all other district types.
This incident is more than twice as common during Hot weather. It is very rare during Rainy weather, unless it's also hot outside. It will never spawn in Cold weather.
Resolution[]
The Hornet Nest incident must be reached within 1,000 seconds of real time (on SLOW game speed) or it will automatically fail. This is a long response time, so there is no rush. Also note that letting this incident expire costs you no Reputation points.
The reputation reward for resolving this incident is +1.
The penalty for ignoring this incident is 0, making this one of the handful of incidents that can be ignored without wasting any time or effort.

The scene contains nothing but the hornet nest itself. It is a tech work element requiring anywhere between 200 and 800 Work Seconds to resolve. At the higher end, this could take some time for an untrained or ill-equipped crew, especially given the low reward.
Since the reward for resolving this incident is so poor (only +1 Reputation), it is often best to send a small crew to this scene - if any. If a more major incident appears nearby, consider ignoring this incident (no penalty for doing so) and sending the unit there instead.
