Homicide is a Reported Incident in 112 Operator. It requires police response (with optional medical response), and is one of the more dangerous incidents that can spawn on the very first duty. It has only one incident site.
The incident involves a murder victim, their murderer, and a witness who saw the whole thing. The murderer is armed with either a Handgun or Knife, and is very likely to fight. The witness must then be questioned about what they've seen.
The dead body of the victim can be removed by either police or medical units.
Conditions to Spawn[]
The Homicide incident can spawn from the very first duty onward. It is one of the few dangerous incidents that can occur this early in the game. Fortunately, it is rather rare.
This incident is twice more likely to spawn in Parks districts. It has a reduced chance of spawning in Business districts, and even less in Industrial districts.
With The Last Duty DLC, this incident is extremely likely to spawn during the criminal phase.
Resolution[]
The Homicide incident must be reached within 500 seconds of real time (on SLOW game speed) or it will automatically fail. Although the "Urgent" tag does not appear in the incident's info tab, 500 real-time seconds are not a lot of time to react; in fact this is one of the more urgent incidents in the game.
The highest reputation reward possible for resolving this incident is +7.
The maximum possible penalty for ignoring this incident is -7, depending on multipliers from the current difficulty setting.
Scene Elements[]
This incident contains one scene with two police elements and a dead body. Medical units may need to respond, since a fight is likely to break out; the medical unit can also help speed up removal of the dead body.
Description[]
The scene takes place outside, where the murderer had just killed a person. The murderer is armed with a pistol or knife. They have a 50% chance of being a Criminal, and if so, they are very likely to start a fight with the police. In either case, the murderer must be subdued and arrested, then taken to prison.
Additionally, there is a witness nearby who must be questioned by police.
Finally, there is a dead body to be cleared away. Both police and medical units can handle this element. No actual transport is needed.
Ignore Penalty[]
Ignoring this scene costs -3 Reputation points. The Murderer will cost an extra -4 Reputation if the incident is ignored before they are arrested and removed from the scene, for a total -7 penalty.
On the other hand, the Murderer also reduces the Ignore penalty by 4 points when resolved, which creates an unusual opportunity: Once the Murderer is resolved, you may ignore the entire scene without any further work. This forfeits the +3 Reputation reward, but instantly frees up your units to go deal with other incidents. Note, however, that this is very tricky to accomplish, since police will prefer to question the witness and remove the dead body before leaving with the arrested Murderer. Do not count on this option being possible.
