911/112 Operator Wiki

Hit-And-Run is a Reported Incident in 112 Operator. One of the more complex Reported Incidents, it includes two incident sites, one of which requires a search to locate. The sites require medical and police response, respectively. This incident can only spawn once incident level 3 has been unlocked (on Campaign mode this happens on Duty #9).

The incident involves a traffic accident in which a car ran over two pedestrians, who fortunately require only medical assistance without hospitalization.

The driver of the car, however, has escaped the scene, and an urgent search must be conducted to find them. Once found, the driver usually needs to be arrested and taken to prison; though in rare cases they need to be fined instead. The driver sometimes carries a weapon, but is highly unlikely to use it.

Conditions to Spawn[]

The Hit-And-Run incident can only spawn once level 3 calls have been unlocked. In Campaign mode, this happens on Duty #9. It is a relatively uncommon incident.

This incident most often spawns in Residential districts. It has a reduced chance of spawning in Business and Industrial districts. It spawns nearly twice as often at night as it does during the day.

Rainy and snowy weather also increase the likelihood of this event spawning.

The Victim Scene always spawns on a road. The Search Area always spawns nearby.

Structure[]

This is one of the more complex Reported Incidents in the game. It includes two separate scenes - one for medics, the other for police. One of these scenes is initially hidden, requiring a search to determine its location.

When this incident begins, the game spawns the Victim Scene for medics, and simultaneously spawns a Search Area close by. Medics can be sent to the Victim Scene immediately, while other units begin an urgent search.

Once the search is concluded, the Perpetrator Scene appears. Only then can police units be sent to deal with the driver.

Victim Scene[]

This scene appears as soon as the incident begins. It is purely a medical scene with two elements.

Traffic Jam[]

As soon as this scene is created, it begins to generate a Traffic Jam that will expand at a rate of 0.2 along every connecting street.

The Traffic Jam will slow down all ground-based units attempting to travel through it. Smaller vehicles move faster through Traffic Jams, and airborne vehicles ignore them completely.

As soon as the scene is resolved, the Traffic Jam will begin to clear, from the center outwards.

Description[]

This scene contains the two injured pedestrians lying in the street. Both victims are only moderately injured, and require treatment on-site. They do not need to be taken to a hospital.

Resolution[]

There is no time limit to reach this scene.

The highest reputation reward possible for resolving this scene is +2.

The maximum possible penalty for ignoring this scene is -2, depending on multipliers from the current difficulty setting.

Search[]

When the Hit-And-Run incident begins, a Search Area and Automatic Search Site appear on the map, near to the Victim Scene.

The Search Area is a rectangle, 3 sectors wide on each side - for a total of 9 sectors. One of these sectors (selected at random) contains the hidden incident site you're searching for.

Each sector requires 90 seconds of Search Work to complete - a significant amount. This can be done by any unit. Once the specific sector containing the hidden incident site is completely searched, the hidden incident site appears and the search is over.

Resolution[]

The search must be concluded within 500 seconds of real time (on SLOW game speed) or it will automatically fail (which also instantly fails the Perpetrator Scene). This makes the search quite urgent, especially due to the large amount of Search Work required to search each sector.

The reputation reward for completing the search itself is +3.

The penalty for ignoring the incident before completing the search -2, depending on multipliers from the current difficulty setting.

Once the search is completed, it reveals the Perpetrator Scene, described below.

Perpetrator Scene[]

This scene appears only once its specific search sector has been completely searched. All other search sectors, as well as the Automatic Search Site, disappear from the map.

Resolution[]

There is no time limit to reach this scene.

The highest reputation reward possible for resolving this scene is +2.

The maximum possible penalty for ignoring this scene (whether before or after it has been located) is -2, depending on multipliers from the current difficulty setting.

Description[]

This scene contains the escaped driver in his/her car.

In the vast majority of cases, the driver must be arrested and taken to prison. They are almost always unarmed, but may be carrying a Knife - which they are extremely unlikely to use. Even if they do decide to fight, they are almost guaranteed to give up instantly anyway.

In a very small number of cases the driver is treated as a suspect, and must be fined instead of arrested. The chance of this happening is about 5-10%.
