911/112 Operator Wiki

Group of Onlookers is a Reported Incident in 112 Operator. This incident occurs only during the Emergency Landing event, and only if preparation for the landing has failed. It requires police response, and has only one incident site.

The incident involves a small crowd of onlookers trying to gawk at the plane crash site. 5 onlookers must be admonished by police and sent away. The remaining crowd must be dispersed, though in practice this occurs instantly due to a bug.

This is one of a handful of Reported Incidents in the game that can be summarily ignored without losing any points. Units should respond only if they literally have nothing better to do.

Conditions to Spawn[]

The Group of Onlookers incident cannot spawn at all during normal play; it will only ever spawn as part of the Emergency Landing event.

In the Emergency Landing event, units must resolve an incident (also called Emergency Landing) at the airport before the plane lands, in which they prepare the airport for the landing. If units fail to resolve that incident in time, the plane will crash at the airport, spawning four distinct incidents in its vicinity. The Group of Onlookers incident is one of them, spawning close to the crash point.

If the Emergency Landing incident is resolved in time, the game will spawn the Injured Passengers incident at the crash site instead.

Resolution[]

The Group of Onlookers incident must be reached within 600 seconds of real time (on SLOW game speed) or it will automatically fail. However, there is no penalty for allowing it to expire.

The reputation reward for resolving this incident is +2.

The penalty for ignoring this incident is 0, making this one of the handful of incidents that can be ignored without wasting any time or effort.

Scene Elements[]

The Group of Onlookers incident contains one scene with a total of 6 police elements. One element, however, is written incorrectly in the script, and will be resolved as soon as an officer reaches it.

Description[]

The scene takes place in the open. There are 5 onlookers present, as well as a general "Policework" element meant to simulate the rest of the crowd.

The onlookers are docile and require only questioning by police; however this takes much longer than normal for each onlooker - up to 300 Work Seconds each. Even experienced officers with equipment for processing suspects could take an bit of time to process each of these onlookers.

The scene also includes a general Policework element called "Controlling crowd", which is meant to simulate clearing out the rest of the crowd and preventing anyone from returning. However, the script fails to define how long this work should take, so it defaults to 0. As a result, as soon as an officer approaches this element, it will instantly disappear.
