911/112 Operator Wiki

"It's a rascal who doesn't even know how to paint a swastika properly!"

Grafitti Vandals [sic] is a Call Incident in 112 Operator. This call will not trigger on its own; it will only be triggered by the Vandalism event. The incident contains only a single scene, which requires only police response (if any). The call dialogue is completely predictable (no randomized responses from the caller).

The incident involves a man who reports seeing a teenager spraying graffiti on a wall. The operator can get the man to tell the teenager that the police is coming, scaring him off and allowing the incident to be summarily ignored. Alternatively, the operator can send police to the site to issue the teenager a fine.

For the best solution to this call, see this guide.

Note: The incident's name is "Grafitti Vandals", which is a misspelling, but is considered correct for the purposes of this article.

Trigger Conditions[]

The Grafitti Vandals incident is a scripted incident; it cannot spawn unless specifically triggered by an Event.

In all game modes, this incident will only be triggered during the Vandalism event.

In Campaign mode, the event begins on Duty #4, and the Grafitti Vandals incident occurs on Duty #5.

The Grafitti Vandals incident occurs on Duty #1 of the Shootout Scenario in Rio de Janeiro. It does not occur during any other Scenario.

In Freeplay mode, the Vandalism event can only happen if the difficulty level is Junior or Middle. At Junior difficulty, the event can randomly happen between Duties #4 and #13, if it happens at all. In Middle difficulty, it can happen between Duties #1 and #10. In both cases, the Grafitti Vandals incident happens one Duty after the start of the event.

Structure[]

The Grafitti Vandals incident is a Call Incident, which begins with a phone conversation with a citizen. The call is completely predictable: it contains no randomized responses from the caller, and the outcome depends entirely on choices made by the operator; the same choices will always lead to the same results.

This incident contains only a single scene, though its nature can change somewhat depending on the course of the phone conversation. It is either completely ignorable (giving the same Reputation reward as resolving it), or contains an element that can be fined for €1,000. This gives you a choice between not wasting time and effort, or getting a small reward for wasting time and effort.

The scene only appears once the caller is asked for his location, or once the call is successfully traced.

Call Summary[]

The Grafitti Vandals incident occurs during a wave of vandalism spreading through the city. It begins with a man calling 112 to report that he's seen a teenager spray-painting swastikas and racial slurs on a wall.

The operator advises the caller to warn the teenager away by saying that the police are on the way. The caller is hesitant, but the operator convinces him. This works, and the teenager runs off. The operator promises that the department will deal with the vandalism wave, and marks the incident down as "ignored".

Alternative Ending[]

There are no truly "negative" endings to this incident, but there is a different way to resolve it: the operator could simply promise to send units over to catch the vandal in the act. In this case, police can be sent to the caller's location to issue the teenager a fine.

The Grafitti Vandalism incident contains only a single scene, which is hidden at first. This scene only appears on the map once either of the following conditions is met:

  1. The caller was asked for his location.
  2. About 450 seconds of real-time have elapsed (on SLOW game speed) from the moment the conversation began.

The scene contains either one or two police elements. This depends entirely on the choices made by the operator during the phone conversation.

Description[]

This scene takes place in the street, in front of the vandalized wall. The caller is here, and potentially also the vandal, depending on the outcome of the conversation.

The caller is a witness and must be questioned by police.

The vandal will only be present if the has caller hasn't been convinced to chase him away. The vandal must be issued a fine for €1,000.

Resolution[]

There is no time limit to reach this scene.

The reputation reward for resolving this scene is +1.

The default penalty ignoring this scene is -1, subject to multipliers from the current difficulty setting. However, it will be +1 points (same as the reward for resolving the scene) if the caller was persuaded to scare away the vandal. This makes it possible to ignore the scene altogether while still winning the Reputation points, though it means forfeiting the €1,000 fine.
