- "I NEED THE CODE, DEAR!"
Forgotten PIN is a Call Incident in 112 Operator. With a Call Level of 0, it is allowed to trigger on any Duty that allows random Call Incidents, including the very first Duty. This call only spawns one scene, and only if the call is traced. It requires police response, but there is no reward for sending units. The only way to win points from this call is to ingore it. The call dialogue is completely predictable (no randomized responses from the caller).
The incident involves an old lady calling to ask for the PIN number to unlock her phone. She believes that 112 can give her the code, since it is the only number she can call while the phone is locked. The operator must explain the problem to her calmly, and then ignore the call.
For the best solution to this call, see this guide.
Opening Lines[]
| Speaker | Line | |
|---|---|---|
| Operator | 112, what's your emergency? | |
| Caller | ...HELLO? | |
| Operator | 112, hello? | |
| Caller | I NEED THE CODE, DEAR! | |
Trigger Conditions[]
The Forgotten PIN incident has a Call Level of 0. This means that the call may randomly happen on any Duty - including the very first one - if the game decides to trigger a random Call Incident on that Duty.
Once this call is triggered, it will not be triggered again for the remainder of the game - except in Freeplay mode if "Repeated Calls" have been enabled.
Structure[]
The Forgotten PIN incident is a Call Incident, which begins with a phone conversation with a citizen. The call is completely predictable: it contains no randomized responses from the caller, and the outcome depends entirely on choices made by the operator; the same choices will always lead to the same results.
By default, this incident contains only a single scene - the Forgotten PIN Scene - but it only appears on the map if the call is traced, which takes approximately 450 real-time seconds (on SLOW game speed).
However, there is no benefit to sending any units to the scene. The entire incident should be ignored.
Call Summary[]
The Forgotten PIN incident begins with an elderly woman calling 112, asking for "the code". It is quickly revealed that her phone is locked, and the only option she had was to call emergency services, so she assumed they would have the code to her phone.
The operator calmly explains to the woman that 112 is for emergencies only, and advises her to contact her service provider. With some patience, the operator finally gets the woman to end the call. He marks the incident down as "ignored".
Alternative Endings[]
The operator could suggest that the woman try code 1-2-3-4, but it doesn't work. The operator can then advise the woman to turn her phone off and on again. She is grateful for this suggestion, and thanks the operator before hanging up.
The After-Action Report claims that the operator was being rude to the woman, and that these were the wrong responses; but neither option affects your score, nor anything else.

Incident Scene[]
There is no way to ask the caller for her location. The scene only appears on the map once about 450 seconds of real-time have elapsed (on SLOW game speed) from the moment the conversation began, if it hasn't been Ignored first.
The scene contains only a single police element.
Description[]
This scene takes place in a house. The caller can be found inside, and must be questioned by police to resolve the scene.
Resolution[]
There is no time limit to reach this scene, and no reward for resolving it.
The penalty for ignoring this incident is +1 - meaning that you gain points for ignoring the call. This can be done as soon as the call begins - there is no need to wait for anything.
