- "There was a guy at a party. He was really clingy and I couldn't really get rid of him, so that's why I left. He's the one following me...."
Followed Woman is a Call Incident in 112 Operator. With a Call Level of 0, it is allowed to trigger on any Duty that allows random Call Incidents, including the very first Duty. It may also be triggered on the very first Duty by the Tutorial event. This call only spawns a single incident site, but the nature of that site differs greatly depending on the outcome of the phone conversation. The call dialogue is completely predictable (no randomized responses from the caller).
The incident involves a woman calling 112 from her car, to report that someone is following her home from a party. The operator instructs her to make random turns, and eventually she loses her follower. With no emergency in progress, the operator ignores the call.
There are two other, sub-optimal endings to this call. One involves simply sending police officers to do a "routine stop", requiring the officers to question both the caller and the follower - who turns out to have been innocent after all. In the other ending, the operator advises the woman to drive fast and chaotically to try to lose the follower, which results in her crashing her car and requiring medical assistance on site (but no transport to hospital needed).
For the best solution to this call, see this guide.
Opening Lines[]
| Speaker | Line | |
|---|---|---|
| Operator | 112, what's your emergency? | |
| Caller | Hi, umm... There's a car following me, could you please help me? | |
Trigger Conditions[]
The Followed Woman incident has a Call Level of 0. This means that the call may randomly happen on any Duty - including the very first one - if the game decides to trigger a random Call Incident on that Duty.
This call also has a random chance to be picked (out of four different options) to be the very first call in a Campaign game, as part of the Tutorial event.
Once this call is triggered, it will not be triggered again for the remainder of the game - except in Freeplay mode if "Repeated Calls" have been enabled.
Structure[]
The Followed Woman incident is a Call Incident, which begins with a phone conversation with a citizen. The call is completely predictable: it contains no randomized responses from the caller, and the outcome depends entirely on choices made by the operator; the same choices will always lead to the same results.
This incident contains only a single scene, which becomes visible on the map if the caller is asked for their location. If the location hasn't been acquired during the conversation, the call can be traced instead, which takes approximately 450 real-time seconds (on SLOW game speed).
Call Summary[]
The Followed Woman incident begins with a woman calling 112 from her car to report that she is being followed home. She is on her way back from a party, where a man she was talking to became overly clingy. She believes he is in the black sedan behind her.
The operator instructs the woman to begin making random turns at each intersection to see whether she is actually being followed. After a couple of turns, the woman reports that the black sedan has disappeared. Nevertheless, she tells the operator that the man in question is a creep and could be dangerous; but the operator replies that this is no longer an emergency situation. He marks the call as "ignored".
Negative Choices[]
The operator could decide to allay the woman's fears by sending police officers to stop both cars, pretending to be making a "routine stop", in order to question the follower and determine his intentions. However, there is no benefit to doing this beyond just helping the woman lose the follower altogether - a waste of police time. Incidentally, the follower turns out to have been innocent, and is let go.
Alternatively, the operator can advise the woman to speed up and drive erratically in order to lose her pursuer. While she does lose the pursuer, she also loses control of her vehicle and crashes it. This turns the call into a medical emergency, as the woman is badly hurt.

Followed Woman Scene[]
The Followed Woman incident contains only a single scene, which is hidden at first. This scene only appears on the map once either of the following conditions is met:
- The caller was asked for her location.
- About 450 seconds of real-time have elapsed (on SLOW game speed) from the moment the conversation began.
The scene contains either up to two police elements, or a single medical element. This depends entirely on the choices made by the operator during the phone conversation.
Chase[]
This scene begins to move as soon as it spawns. Its maximum speed is 50, making it easy to stop with most police vehicles, but it could be too quick for some. Patrol Cars or faster vehicles are recommended.
The driver has no Police Avoidance value, since she wants to be stopped by police. She will not move away from police vehicles, making her easy to trap.
If the driver is told to DRIVE FAST AND CHAOTICALLY, and then reassured to DO IT, IT'LL WORK, she will briefly accelerate to a maximum speed of 100. However, by the end of her next spoken line, she comes to a complete stop and no longer needs to be chased at all - since she crashed her vehicle.
This incident cannot be stopped by Speed Cameras.
Description[]
This scene takes place on the road. Either one or two cars are here, depending on how the phone conversation concluded. Each car present has its driver inside - the caller and the suspect, respectively.
By default, both drivers are present, and both must be questioned by police. The woman takes twice as long to question as a "normal" witness. The suspect takes three times as long as normal.
If the caller had already lost her pursuer before police were sent, only she will be present at the site.
If the caller had crashed her car, she is replaced with a different version of herself who is badly injured and requires medical care instead of police. Despite this, she does not require transport to hospital, and is in no danger of dying on the scene.
Resolution[]
This scene must be reached within 600 seconds of real time (on SLOW game speed) from the moment its location is discovered, or it will automatically fail. It will also automatically fail if it gets close to the edge of the map.
The default reputation reward for resolving this scene is +3.
The default penalty for ignoring this scene is -3, subject to multipliers from the current difficulty setting.
Both the reward and penalty are adjusted negatively when selecting the following choices:
- DRIVE FAST AND CHAOTICALLY: -2 points.
- DO IT, IT'LL WORK: -3 points.
It is possible to hit both bad choices during the same conversation, severely impacting the score to the point where you will lose Reputation points whatever you do.
Conversely, telling the caller to DO RANDOM TURNS sets the Ignore Penalty to +3 - meaning that you'll get the same number of points for ignoring the call as you would for resolving it; at which point there's no reason not to ignore it.
