911/112 Operator Wiki

Flood Barrier is an Incident in the 112 Operator Water Operations DLC that is part of the Flood event, and can only spawn as part of that event. Between 5 and 20 instances of this incident are spawned when the event begins, and are instrumental in determining the consequences of the event as a whole.

This incident occurs just off the shore, and is considered a land incident. It can only be reached by land and airborne vehicles. It requires only firefighter response, and has only one incident site (though multiple independent incidents will be spawned as part of the event).

The incident involves water threatening to rise at this location, requiring firefighters to erect a sandbag flood barrier along the water's edge. This consists of three technical elements which together require a moderate effort from firefighting units.

Failure to resolve these incidents quickly will result in other incidents spawning in the affected areas.

Conditions to Spawn[]

The Flood Barrier incident requires the Water Operations DLC to be installed and active. The incident will not happen during normal play, until such time that the Flood event happens - if it happens at all.

During that event, between 5 and 20 Flood Barrier incidents will spawn at random locations along the shoreline. Each is a separate incident that must be resolved separately from the others; but together they affect the behavior of the entire Flood event.

Despite spawning along the shoreline, these incidents are considered land incidents. Only land and airborne vehicles will be able to reach them.

Resolution[]

The Flood Barrier incident must be reached within 3,600 seconds of real time (on SLOW game speed) or it will automatically fail. This is actually 50% longer than the length of an entire Duty, so there is no real time limit. However, so long as these incidents remain unresolved, additional incidents will continue spawning on the map due to the Flood event. Therefore, it is imperative to resolve as many Flood Barrier incidents as quickly as possible.

There is no direct reward for resolving this incident, and there is no way to ignore it.

Effect on Flood Event[]

See also: Flood (112 Event).

After 300 seconds of real-time (on SLOW game speed) from the start of the Flood event, the game checks to see which Flood Barrier incidents are still unresolved.

Any Flood Barrier incident that hasn't been resolved can then spawn an additional incident in its vicinity, related to the flooding. Those incidents can then pose a problem, because they do carry penalties and actual time limits, as most incidents do. Resolving those incidents will require additional time and effort from your units. All the while, the game continues to spawn normal incidents throughout the city.

After the initial 300 second check, the game will repeat the check every 100 seconds.

As a result, resolving as many Flood Barrier incidents as possible, as quickly as possible, will prevent your units from getting overloaded with incidents - which could snowball into negative Reputation and result in a failed Duty.

112 IncidentIcon Event Scene Elements[]

This incident contains one scene with three firefighter technical elements.

Description[]

The scene takes place on a waterfront, with vehicles arriving from the land side. There are three tech elements here, representing the positions at which sandbag walls must be erected.

Each sandbag position is a tech element requiring between 180 and 220 Work Seconds to complete. This can be done by any firefighting unit in a reasonable amount of time, but since there are three such elements on the scene, the total amount of work is actually quite substantial.

Furthermore, since the incident can begin spawning other incidents, it is important to resolve it as quickly as possible. It's best to send expert technical units if you have any, and literally any other free unit if you don't.
