The Fire Suit is a firefighter personal armor in 112 Operator that can only be placed in the chest slot. It becomes available right at the start of any career, scenario, or freeplay game. It is usually part of the default firefighter gear, which is given to each newly-recruited firefighter. The Fire Suit costs €1,500 to purchase as part of a gear set for firefighters; this cost is already included in the recruiting cost for new firefighters.
The Fire Suit provides the firefighter with +0.5 Fire Resistance. This reduces the chance of injury when fighting fires by 50%, and will come in handy for most firefighters - especially those who are going to be expected to react to intense fires that could prove very dangerous.
Additionally, the Fire Suit provides a +0.2 Explosion Resistance bonus. If the firefighter happens to be at an incident containing a bomb, and that bomb happens to explode, the firefighter has a 20% chance to survive the explosion uninjured. This is a fairly rare case, since most (all?) bomb incidents do not require firefighter presence, but it's better than nothing.
The Fire Suit should be equipped on every firefighter if possible, and is equipped on every firefighter by default. While the Heavy Fire Suit provides more protection, it is also more than 2.5 times as expensive and should be reserved for your primary fire-fighting units.
Description[]
"The basic suit designed to protect from high temperatures."
Portrait Glitch[]
The Fire Suit alters the appearance of the firefighter's portrait, giving them a red firefighter's helmet. Due to a bug in the current version of the game (2nd Anniversary), the Fire Suit may become a permanent part of the officer's default portrait (when not wearing any other portrait-altering clothes). This can only be fixed by manually editing the save file.
Availability[]
Available in the base game of 112 Operator.
