Fire in a Warehouse is a Reported Incident in 112 Operator. Generally a rare incident, it requires substantial firefighter response. It has only one incident site. This incident can spawn at any stage of the game, including the very first Duty.
The incident involves a fire that has ignited inside a warehouse filled with flammable materials, and is spreading very rapidly. Firefighters must respond quickly, removing flammable materials from the site to deprive the fire of its fuel, while also fighting to put out the fire itself.
Conditions to Spawn[]
The Fire in a Warehouse incident can spawn at any stage of the game, from the very first Duty onward. This is true for all game modes.
This incident has the highest chance to spawn in Industrial districts. It is much less likely to spawn in Business, Residential, and Park districts.
This incident can only spawn in a building. Note that there are sometimes buildings inside Parks and other off-road areas.
This incident is much rarer during Rainy weather, but two and a half times more common during Hot weather. Hot Rainy weather only doubles its rate of spawning.
During the first half of a Blackout Duty, this incident spawns somewhat commonly. It is significantly more common during the second half of that Duty.
Resolution[]
The Fire in a Warehouse incident must be reached within 900 seconds of real time (on SLOW game speed) or it will automatically fail. While this isn't a particularly urgent time limit, the work required to resolve this incident increases with every second that it isn't attended, making the fire much more time-consuming and dangerous to put out.
The highest reputation reward possible for resolving this incident is +5.
The maximum possible penalty for ignoring this incident is -5, depending on multipliers from the current difficulty setting.
Scene Elements[]
The Fire in a Warehouse incident contains one scene with two different firefighter elements. The interaction between these elements is crucial.
Description[]
The scene takes place at a factory. It contains two firefighter elements: The fire itself, and the flammable materials remaining in the warehouse (a tech element).
The fire only takes 1 Work Second to resolve when this incident first spawns on the map, but this increases at a very rapid rate of +3 with every second of real time that passes (on SLOW game speed). Unless firefighter units were already nearby, the fire could become a big problem by the time they get there - making it very dangerous and time-intensive to put out. The quick spread rate means that multiple firefighters and plenty of water are required to put it out quickly, or even at all.
The flammable materials always require 400 Work Seconds to resolve, which is simple enough even for a smaller crew. Once this element is resolved, the Fire element completely stops growing.
Unfortunately, there is no way to direct firefighters to resolve the flammable materials element first. In fact, they will usually resolve it after putting out the fire, since the fire is closer to their parked vehicles. You can try to force the Tech element to be resolved first by sending more than one firefighter unit to the scene - making the entire incident resolve quicker.
Ignore Penalty[]
By default, ignoring this incident costs -5 Reputation points. However, resolving either of the two elements before ignoring the incident reduces the penalty. Removing the flammable materials reduces it by 2 points, while putting out the fire reduces it by 3 points.
