The Fire Boat is a fire-fighting water vehicle that was added with the 112 Operator Water Operations DLC. It is the fastest of all such vehicles in the DLC, capable of delivering its three crewmembers quickly to any incident and then providing them with a bonus to their skills as they work. While not as cheap as the Fire Dinghy nor as large as the Big Fire Boat, it combines the best traits of both while adding superior movement speed.

Overview[]
The Fire Boat is a mid-range fire-fighting water vehicle added only in the Water Operations DLC. It typically becomes available several duties into a career, scenario, or freeplay game, or whenever your first water district is unlocked - whichever comes later.
The Fire Boat is the fastest of all fire-fighting water vehicles, at a maximum speed of 175 - roughly as fast as a motorcycle. This allows it to reach incidents very quickly, even across relatively longer distances, requiring fewer boats to cover your water districts overall.
The Fire Boat carries 3 firefighters, and provides each of them with a bonus of +0.5 Fire Extinguish skill or +0.3 Technical Work skill, as required for the job at hand. This allows Fire Boat personnel to resolve fire-related incidents almost as quickly as a Fire Truck on land, and technical incidents almost as quickly as a Technical Truck.
This comes at the cost of €60,000, which is almost twice as much as the next smaller boat - the Fire Dinghy. As such, a Fire Boat can be replaced with two Fire Dinghies to provide more versatility at the cost of both speed and skill bonuses, which the Dinghies do not provide. A Fire Boat can therefore handle fewer incidents, but can resolve them better and faster.
On the other end of the spectrum, the Fire Boat competes with the Big Fire Boat, which is 25% more expensive and quite a bit slower, but carries an extra firefighter and provides its crew with greater skill bonuses. The decision whether to buy a Fire Boat or Big Fire Boat for a specific region of the map depends mostly on whether you prefer to get to incidents faster (Fire Boat), or resolve them faster (Big Fire Boat).
