Drunk Driver is a Reported Incident in 112 Operator. A slightly uncommon incident, it requires only police response. It has only one incident site, which requires a chase. This incident can spawn at any stage of the game, including the very first Duty.
The incident involves stopping a drunk driver, and (usually) taking him to jail. There is a small chance that the driver is armed and may try to assault the police. Similarly, there is a small chance that the driver requires no arrest, instead paying a hefty fine.
This incident can be auto-resolved by a Speed Camera to receive money instead of Reputation. That is a reliable way to get money from this incident.
Conditions to Spawn[]
The Drunk Driver incident can spawn at any stage of the game, from the very first Duty onward. This is true for all game modes.
This incident has the highest chance to spawn in Slums, followed by Business districts and to a lesser extent in Residential districts. It is much less likely to spawn in Parks.
Drunk Driver is half as common during snow, rain, or windy conditions.
This incident becomes quite common on New Year's Eve, and is also very likely to spawn in the vicinity of poorly-managed Concerts.
With The Last Duty DLC, this incident will never spawn after the Infected begin to attack.
Resolution[]
The Drunk Driver incident must be reached within 800 seconds of real time (on SLOW game speed) or it will automatically fail. This is slightly more time than the average incident.
The highest reputation reward possible for resolving this incident is +2.
The maximum possible penalty for ignoring this incident is -2, depending on multipliers from the current difficulty setting.
This incident will be automatically resolved if it enters the effect radius of a Speed Camera. If so, you receive no Reputation reward, but instead receive €2,000 - €3,000 instantly. Given that the incident usually ends with no fine collected, this is a good way to increase your cash, if you can push the event towards a Speed Camera.
Scene Elements[]
The Drunk Driver incident contains one chase scene with a single police element. However, since a fight may occur, medical units may need to be on stand-by to respond as well.
Chase[]
This scene begins to move as soon as it spawns. Its maximum speed is 120, making it difficult to stop with Pickup Trucks or anything slower. Patrol Cars or faster vehicles are recommended.
The driver has a Police Avoidance value of 0.50, meaning that he will make at least some effort to move in the opposite direction of any police units. This makes him a little harder to trap with units coming from different directions, but easier to push towards a Speed Camera.
Description[]
The scene contains a car with one criminal inside. Most often, the criminal is unarmed and compliant, and must be arrested. However there is a small chance for the criminal to be armed, and he may attempt to attack the police (usually ending in surrender).
There is an 8% chance that the driver will not require arrest. In that case, he is a Suspect instead of a Criminal, and must be fined by an officer. This case never results in a fight.
