- For the water-based incident of the same name in the Water Operations DLC, see Drug Smuggling (Water)
Drug Smuggling is a Reported Incident in 112 Operator. There are two incidents with the same name in the game; this article discusses only the land-based version.
A rare incident, Drug Smuggling requires only police response, with a relatively high chance of a fight. It has only one incident site, which requires a chase. This incident can only spawn once the initial grace period is over (Duty 4+ of Campaign mode).
The incident involves an anonymous tip about a large shipment of drugs being smuggled across the city in a truck. 2-3 criminals are in the truck, usually armed and often ready to fight. They must be subdued, arrested, and taken to prison.
Additionally, police officers must secure the drug shipment itself.
Conditions to Spawn[]
This version of the Drug Smuggling incident can only occur on land. It can only spawn once level 2 calls have been unlocked. In Campaign mode, this happens on Duty #4.
This incident is most likely to spawn in Slum districts, followed by Industrial districts. It has a reduced chance of spawning in Business districts and Parks. It has twice the chance to spawn during the night, but is still rare even then.
With The Last Duty DLC, this incident will never spawn once the Infected have appeared.
Resolution[]
The Drug Smuggling incident must be reached within 1200 seconds of real time (on SLOW game speed) or it will automatically fail. This is a very long time, equal to half the duration of a Duty.
The highest reputation reward possible for resolving this incident is +5, depending on which randomized elements have been added to the scene.
The maximum possible penalty for ignoring this incident is -5, depending on which randomized elements have been added to the scene, as well as multipliers from the current difficulty setting.
This incident cannot be stopped by a Speed Camera.
Scene Elements[]
The Drug Smuggling incident contains one chase scene with multiple police elements. However, since a shootout may occur, medical units may need to be on stand-by to respond as well.
Chase[]
This scene begins to move as soon as it spawns. Its maximum speed is 120, making it difficult to stop with Pickup Trucks or anything slower. Patrol Cars or faster vehicles are recommended.
The driver has a Police Avoidance value of 0.8, meaning that he is very likely to attempt to move in the opposite direction of any police units. This makes him difficult to trap, usually requiring a straight-up chase.
Description[]
The scene contains a truck with either 2 or 3 criminals inside. The truck is full to the brim with drugs.
The criminals are often armed with handguns and/or knives, but may occasionally be unarmed. Either way, it's quite likely that at least one will start a fight with the police, which the others are likely to join. Any criminal who is not injured in the fight needs to be arrested by officers and taken to prison. Any injured criminals need to be treated by medics and taken to hospital, instead.
Once all criminals have been arrested, police can begin to secure the drug shipment itself. This is a Policework element requiring 200-600 Work Seconds. While experienced officers do speed up this work, it completely ignores bonuses from equipment, so it could take a while.
Consider sending a larger number of officers to this scene, both to deal with the belligerent criminals and to speed up work on securing the drugs.
