Damaged Bridge is a Reported Incident in 112 Operator. A highly uncommon incident for multiple reasons, it is somewhat more common during Tornado and Earthquake events, especially in Industrial districts. It requires only firefighter response, and has only one incident site. This incident can spawn at any stage of the game, including the very first Duty.
The incident involves a bridge that has become severely damaged. A traffic jam forms, and firefighters must arrive to reinforce the bridge to make it usable again.
Conditions to Spawn[]
Technically speaking, the Damaged Bridge incident can spawn at any stage of the game, from the very first Duty onward. This is true for all game modes.
This incident has the highest chance to spawn in Industrial districts. It is much less likely to spawn in Business districts and Parks.
This incident is fairly common during a Tornado (especially in the path of the funnel), and one of the most common during an Earthquake.
Unfortunately, the game's maps are very poor at definining where bridges are. As a result, most maps don't have any bridges defined (even if they do physically appear on the map), and will never see this incident spawn. Other maps have bridges defined in the wrong location, causing this incident to appear on regular roads (but only in very specific places). It is currently unknown whether any maps are configured correctly for this event.
Resolution[]
The Damaged Bridge incident must be reached within 900 seconds of real time (on SLOW game speed) or it will automatically fail. This isn't a particularly urgent time limit.
The highest reputation reward possible for resolving this incident is +3.
The maximum possible penalty for ignoring this incident is -3, depending on multipliers from the current difficulty setting.
Scene Elements[]
The Damaged Bridge incident contains one scene with only a single firefighter tech element.
Traffic Jam[]
As soon as this scene is created, it begins to generate a Traffic Jam that will expand at a rate of 1.0 along every connecting street - the fastest possible traffic spread.
The Traffic Jam will slow down all ground-based units attempting to travel through it. Smaller vehicles move faster through Traffic Jams, and airborne vehicles ignore them completely.
As soon as the scene is resolved, the Traffic Jam will begin to clear, from the center outwards.
Description[]
The scene contains only a damaged bridge, represented by a general tech element.
It takes 1600 work seconds to solve this element, which means that even a team of 4 skilled firefighters with good tools may take over 100 seconds of real-time (on SLOW game-speed) to resolve it. Smaller or less competent teams could take a very long time.
