Cyclist Hit by a Car is a Reported Incident in 112 Operator. An uncommon incident, it may spawn as soon as level-2 incidents have been unlocked (on Campaign mode, this happens on Duty #4). The incident requires both police and medical response, and has only one incident site.

The incident involves a driver who has hit a bicyclist. Though the cyclist is badly injured and must be treated by medics, they do not require transport to hospital. The driver typically must be fined, but occasionally needs to be arrested instead (no resistance). The incident creates a small traffic jam in its vicinity.

Conditions to Spawn[]

The Cyclist Hit by a Car incident can spawn as soon as level-2 incidents have been unlocked. In Campaign mode, this happens on Duty #4. The incident is fairly uncommon.

This incident has double the chance to spawn in Park districts compared to any other type of district.

The incident can only spawn on a road.

Hot weather increases the chance of this incident occurring by about 50%. Conversely, rainy weather reduces the chance by 50%. Snowy weather disables this incident completely.

During the first half of a Blackout duty, this incident is very common. It is less common during the second half of the Duty.

With The Last Duty DLC, this incident cannot spawn once the Infected appear.

Resolution[]

The Cyclist Hit by a Car incident must be reached within 900 seconds of real time (on SLOW game speed) or it will automatically fail. This is a good amount of time, roughly equal to a third of a Duty.

Resolving this incident rewards you with exactly +3 Reputation.

The maximum possible penalty for ignoring this incident at any stage is -3, depending on multipliers from the current difficulty setting.

Scene Elements[]

The Cyclist Hit by a Car incident contains one police element and one medical element.

Traffic Jam[]

As soon as this scene is created, it begins to generate a Traffic Jam that will expand at a rate of 0.03 along every connecting street. This is fortunately a very slow rate.

The Traffic Jam will slow down all ground-based units attempting to travel through it. Smaller vehicles move faster through Traffic Jams, and airborne vehicles ignore them completely.

As soon as the scene is resolved, the Traffic Jam will begin to clear, from the center outwards.

Description[]

The scene contains a car that has collided with a bicycle. The driver is outside, and the injured bicyclist is lying on the road.

In 90% of cases, the driver must be fined by police. In the remaining 10% of cases, they must be arrested and taken to prison, instead. The driver is unarmed, and will not resist arrest.

The bicyclist is severely injured, but medics only need to treat them on the scene. No transport to hospital is necessary.
