- For the 911 Operator event of the same name, see Concert (911 Operator).
Concert is an Event in 112 Operator. It triggers on Duty #17 of a Campaign Game, and can trigger during any Freeplay game on any difficulty setting. It does not occur in any Scenario. The event lasts an entire Duty.
In this event, the city is hosting an electronic music concert, lasting 12 whole hours. Police, medical, and firefighter presence is requested at the venue, to control the situation and prevent any undue complications.
The event places down a "dummy" incident site where units can be sent, but cannot actually be resolved by any unit. Periodically, the game checks which (if any) emergency units are present, and uses this to calculate the chance for a concert-related Reported Incidents to spawn nearby. This continues throughout the entire Duty. At the end of the Duty, the "dummy" incident resolves itself automatically.
Effects[]
The Concert event's behavior is mostly hard-coded, but is generally quite simple to understand. Two days after receiving a warning about an impending concert, the Duty begins with a dummy Concert incident spawning somewhere on the map. Throughout the Duty, the event regularly tries to spawn Reported Incidents in the vicinity of the concert site. Before each spawning, it checks to see how many emergency units - of each type - are currently at the concert site; reducing the chance of successfully spawning an incident accordingly. When the Duty ends, the concert incident resolves itself, and the event is over.
Concert Site[]
The event begins by sending an e-mail letter to the operator, warning them about an impending concert in the city. On the third Duty after this letter was received, the Duty begins with an incident named "Concert" immediately spawning on the map at a random location.
This incident site is a "dummy": units may be sent there, but the incident cannot be resolved. There is nothing for units to actually do while they are at the site. However, it is their very presence that is important, as explained below.
While the Concert site exists on the map, music can be heard playing in the background, as if the entire city can hear it - all the way to the Emergency Management Center. At roughly the halfway point of the Duty (~6 hours left of the clock), the operator himself will comment on how monotonous the music is.
At exactly the end of the Duty (0:00 left on the clock), the Concert incident resolves itself instantly, and the music stops.
Concert Spawns[]
Approximately once every 40 minutes (on the in-game clock), the game attempts to spawn a Reported Incident related to the concert. This is in addition to (and using a similar mechanism as) the Routine Spawning of normal Reported Incidents that happens throughout any Duty.
To do this, the event builds a list of all Reported Incidents in the game that feature the event_concert tag. It then chooses one of them at random, and spawns it somewhere on the map. The incident will usually appear very close to the Concert Site, but in practice it could appear anywhere on the map (this behavior is still unclear).
Certain incidents tagged as event_concert spawn more commonly as a result of this behavior compared to other incidents. This is the result of a secondary Popularity value defined for each incident, which is used only when spawned by a Concert event.
The following list shows all incidents that can spawn as a result of a Concert in progress, as well as their related Popularity values for this particular purpose:

Supervising Units[]
The chance for the Concert to spawn incidents near the concert site is initially 100% every time it tries to do so (roughly once every 40 minute intervals, on the in-game clock).
However, it is possible to lower that chance substantially by sending emergency units to the incident site.
Every time it checks whether it can spawn a new incident, the Concert first checks how many units of each type are present at the Concert Site. It then decreases the chance of successfully spawning a new incident accordingly.
The first unit of each type (police, medical, firefighter) has a strong reduction effect. The second unit of the same type has a much lesser effect. Any additional units of the same type have no effect whatsoever.
Units of different types have a different effect on the chance to spawn incidents:
| Unit Type | Units present | |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 2 or more | |
| -35% | -45% | |
| -22% | -33% | |
| -20% | -22% | |
Combinations of the above are additive.
| Examples: 1 Police + 2 Firefighter units give a total reduction of 57%. Therefore, each time the event tries to spawn an incident near the Concert Site, it has a 100-57 = 43% chance of succeeding. |
|---|
Note: The maximum reduction is capped at 80%; it is impossible to go higher than that. Therefore, a combination of 1 Police unit, 1 Medical unit and 1 Firefighter unit is already almost as good as it gets (77% reduction); any additional units beyond that are wasteful.
Game Types[]
This event has different trigger conditions and/or effects depending on the type of game being played.
Campaign Game[]
In a Campaign game, the Concert event always occurs on Duty #17 (though the e-mail warning is already sent on Duty #15).
The Pandemic Outbreak DLC does not change the timing nor behavior of this event.
Freeplay Game[]
The Concert event can happen in any Freeplay game, regardless of difficulty setting. However, the difficulty setting determines how early this event can occur:
- At "Junior" difficulty, this event may only occur on Duty #17 or later.
- At "Middle" difficulty, this event may only occur on Duty #14 or later.
- At "Senior" difficulty, this event may only occur on Duty #2 or later.
- At "Principal" difficulty, this event may occur on any Duty, including the very first one.
Note that this refers to the Duty in which the e-mail notice about a future concert is sent to the player. The actual concert only takes place exactly 2 Duties after the letter is sent.
There is no guarantee that this event will occur at all, but since there is no upper limit to the window of opportunity, it will eventually occur if the game is played long enough.
During all 3 Duties while this event is in progress, all incidents tagged as hot have their Popularity values adjusted according to the value in the tag.
The Concert event cannot be switched off when starting a new Freeplay game.
This event is flagged as "lonely", which means that no other event may begin while this event is in progress; and this event will never begin while another event is in progress. Note, again, that the event is, technically, 3 Duties long, even though the actual concert only occurs on the third Duty.
Once this event concludes, it is allowed to happen again multiple times during the same Freeplay game.

E-Mails[]
Event Start[]
At the start of the Duty in which the event triggers, the player receives the following e-mail letter:
| From: | <boss's full name> <boss's address>@alarm.gov
|
|---|---|
| Subject: | Huge Concert - Support requested |
| Good morning, We would like to inform you that in 2 days a large outdoor concert will take place in the city. Please make preparations for this event. Increased numbers of police and medical units stationed or patrolling the area next to the event is recommended. <boss's full name>Emergency Management Center Manager | |
The concert itself takes place 2 Duties later, as promised in the letter.
