Child Abduction is a Reported Incident in 112 Operator. It is a Search incident, ultimately requiring only police response (though a fight may break out, whcih could result in a medical emergency). It can only spawn once incident level 3 has been unlocked (on Campaign mode this happens on Duty #9). It has one search site and one incident site.
The incident involves a report that a child has been abducted by a stranger. Police must search the area to find where the stranger has taken the child, then assault the suspect (who is usually armed and likely to fight back) and arrest them. The child is fortunately alright, and only needs to be checked by police.
Conditions to Spawn[]
The Child Abduction incident can only spawn once level 3 calls have been unlocked. In Campaign mode, this happens on Duty #9. It is a relatively rare incident in general, and even twice as rare during the night.
This incident has double the chance to spawn in Residential neighborhoods. It has a reduced chance of spawning in a Business or Industrial district.
Search[]
The Child Abduction incident begins with a Search Area and Automatic Search Site appearing on the map.
The Search Area is a rectangle, 4 sectors wide on each side - for a total of 16 sectors. One of these sectors (selected at random) contains the hidden incident site you're searching for.
Each sector requires 70 seconds of Search Work to complete - a rather substantial amount. This can be done by any unit. Once the specific sector containing the hidden incident site is completely searched, the hidden incident site appears and the search is over.
Resolution[]
The search must be concluded within 700 seconds of real time (on SLOW game speed) or it will automatically fail the entire incident.
The reputation reward for completing the search itself is +4.
The penalty for ignoring the incident before completing the search -4, depending on multipliers from the current difficulty setting.
Once the search is completed, it reveals the Abducted Child Scene (see below).
Abducted Child Scene[]
This scene appears only once its specific search sector has been completely searched. All other search sectors, as well as the Automatic Search Site, disappear from the map.
Resolution[]
There is no time limit to reach this scene.
The highest reputation reward possible for resolving this scene is +4.
The maximum possible penalty for ignoring this scene (whether before or after it has been located) is -4, depending on multipliers from the current difficulty setting.
Description[]
This scene contains the kidnapper, holed up in a house together with the child.
The kidnapper is armed with either a Handgun or a Knife, but may more rarely be completely unarmed. In any case, they are quite likely to start a fight with the police - but may give up just as quickly if overwhelmed. Once the fight is over, the criminal must be arrested and taken to prison. It may be a good idea to keep one medical unit ready in case the fight results in injuries, instead.
Once the kidnapper is cuffed, the child element is unlocked. The child only needs to be questioned by police to resolve the scene.

Only one instance of each of these letters can be received during the course of a single game, even if you resolve this incident multiple times, or other incidents that send the same letters.

| You don't know me, but I needed to write to you. Yesterday you saved my baby!! You can't even imagine how thankful I am, and I can't express how much it means to me. I owe you. Thank you. <sender's full name> | |

| Subject: | Thank you so much |
| I don't really know how you should start email like this. A simple "thank you" or "I'm grateful" seems not enough. Do You have kids? If so, then you know that losing your child is a biggest nightmare that parent can imagine. No-one should have to go through this, and thanks to you, I have not! You are my hero. <sender's full name> | |
