911/112 Operator Wiki

Cat in a Tree is a Reported Incident in 112 Operator. An uncommon incident, it has only one scene which requires only firefighter response. This incident can spawn at any stage of the game, including the very first Duty.

The incident involves a cat that has been stuck in a tree and unable to come down. Firefighters must bring the cat down safely.

This is one of a handful of Reported Incidents in the game that can be summarily ignored without losing any points. Units should respond only if they literally have nothing better to do.

Conditions to Spawn[]

The Cat in a Tree incident can spawn at any stage of the game, from the very first Duty onward. This is true for all game modes. It is a relatively uncommon incident.

This incident is most likely to happen in Park districts, and least likely to happen in Business and Industrial districts, compared to all other district types.

This incident is 50% more common during Hot weather. It is very rare during Snowy or Rainy weather, but can still occasionally happen.

With The Last Duty DLC, this incident cannot spawn once the Infected have begun to appear.

Resolution[]

The Cat in a Tree incident must be reached within 900 seconds of real time (on SLOW game speed) or it will automatically fail. This is a fairly long response time. Also note that letting this incident expire costs you no Reputation points.

The reputation reward for resolving this incident is +1.

The penalty for ignoring this incident is 0, making this one of the handful of incidents that can be ignored without wasting any time or effort.

Scene Elements[]

The Cat in a Tree incident contains one scene with only a single firefighter element.

Description[]

The scene happens in a park, with the cat element sitting up in a tree. The cat is a tech work element requiring 200 Work Seconds to resolve. Most crews should be able to resolve it very quickly, even without experience or equipment.

Since the reward for resolving this incident is so poor (only +1 Reputation), it is often best to send a small crew to this scene - if any. If a more major incident appears nearby, consider ignoring this incident (no penalty for doing so) and sending the unit there instead.

E-Mails[]

If the cat has been rescued, there is a 15% chance that you will receive an e-mail at the end of the Duty. The e-mail is from one of your crew members (possibly, from the crew that resolved this incident?) complaining that it was pointless.

Only one instance of this letter can be received during the course of a single game, even if you resolve this incident multiple times, or other incidents that send the same letter.

Hey, let's be honest - if you keep sending us to such bullshit like yesterday, we won't have time for serious cases. Speeding through the city for nothing. Get it together, please.
