Car on Fire is a Reported Incident in 112 Operator. This rare event requires only firefighter response, and can spawn from the very first Duty on any game mode. It has only one incident site.
The incident involves a car that has been put to the torch by some unknown person (who has gotten away and cannot be found). The fire is initially small, and grows at a rather moderate rate. A few firefighters with a good water source can put it out rather quickly.
Conditions to Spawn[]
The Car on Fire incident can start spawning on the very first duty of any game. It is, however, a rare occurrence.
This incident tends to spawn in Slum districts, and a little less often in Industrial districts. It has a reduced chance of spawning in Business districts and Parks.
Rainy weather completely disables this incident.
This incident can only spawn on a road.
This incident spawns more often as part of the Vandalism event that tends to occur early in campaigns and freeplay games. It is considered a vandalism-related incident, and its proper resolution counts towards the completion of the Fight Vandalism objective related to that event. It is not, however, one of the more common incidents to spawn during the event.
Cars on Fire can spawn with greatly increased frequency near poorly-managed Demonstrations if they are verging on violence, and even more so if violence has already erupted. Peaceful Demonstrations do not spawn this event.
It can also spawn within the vicinity of a poorly-managed Concert.
Resolution[]
The Cars on Fire incident must be reached within 600 seconds of real time (on SLOW game speed) or it will automatically fail. However, since the fire is constantly spreading, it is generally better to respond quickly.
The highest reputation reward possible for resolving this incident is +4.
The maximum possible penalty for ignoring this incident is -4, depending on multipliers from the current difficulty setting.
Scene Elements[]
This incident contains one scene with only a single firefighter element.
Description[]
The scene contains nothing but the burning car, with the flames coming out of its engine area. The fire starts out quite small - requiring only 100 Work Seconds to put out; however from the moment it spawns on the map, it begins to grow at a slow-to-moderate speed between 1 and 2 Work Seconds per real-time second (on SLOW game speed).
