Car Wash Row is a Scripted Call Incident featured in 911 Operator. This call has only one storyline, in which the owner of a car wash calls 911 to complain that two men are arguing in her parking lot and scaring the customers away.

As a Scripted Call, Car Wash Row can only be triggered in Albuquerque, Duty 1 or 2.

An alternative version of this call was added with the Search & Rescue DLC. This version involves a Search of the area to determine the incident site's location. There is also a slight difference in the Reputation rewards for each version. Either version could trigger during gameplay.

Plot[]

This call has only one possible plot-line.

Summary[]

A female caller named Agnes Black identifies herself as the owner of a car wash. She reports two tall, white strangers, dressed in black, arguing loudly in her parking lot. They are scaring away her customers, and she suspects they are about to start a fight, and describes them pulling at each other's clothes.

The operator instructs the woman to try and calm the two strangers down. When they realize she's calling the police, they enter a black SUV and drive off.

Suspicious of the two men's odd reaction, the operator puts out an APB on the vehicle, which is eventually stopped by the police. During questioning, they are discovered to be fugitives from the law.

On Site[]

The main difference between the Base Game version of this call and the one added in the Search & Rescue DLC is the need to search for the main incident site in the latter. Once it is found, both versions are effectively identical.

CAR WASH ROW (Stationary Site, Search & Rescue version only)
Element Name Actions Notes
Search Search Work 600 sec. On Resolve:
Reveal second incident site.
  • On arrival, units will begin to search the area for the arguing men's location.
  • The "SEARCH" element can be worked by any unit. Resolving this element will instantly determine the location of the men. This element takes 600 Work seconds to resolve, which means it's best to send several units with high Search skill or search-related equipment. Since the manual search area is only 7x7 units in size, it may be preferable to search manually instead.
  • Once the Search element is resolved, this stationary site disappears.
CAR WASH ROW (Moving/Hidden Site)
Moving Speed 30
Or...
(Search & Rescue version only)
Search Area 7x7
Element Name Actions Notes
Arguing man Interrogate Always white male.
Arguing man Interrogate Always white male.
  • In the base game version of this call, the incident begins to move as the SUV pulls away from the car wash, and requires units to give chase. However, it moves so slowly that it can even be caught by policemen on a bicycle.
  • In the Search & Rescue version of this call, the site will only be discovered by manual or automatic search. It will not move once discovered.
  • Once units have stopped the SUV, they will encounter two suspects who must be interrogated. However, despite the After-Action Report, which states that the two men have been found to be fugitives, they do not require arrest and will not start a fight with the police.

Optimal Conversation[]

NOTE: There are several minor differences between the base-game version of this phone conversation and the Search & Rescue version. While the text is identical, the effects are not:

  • The S&R version reveals the Stationary Site location only at the very end of the conversation. That area must then be Searched by units to reveal the Hidden Site location where the men can be interrogated.
  • The S&R version of this incident does not move at all.

Since the two versions are indistinguishable until these effects occur, it is better to just follow the conversation below and deal with the changes as they happen.

Trivia[]

This call is inspired by the HBO television series Breaking Bad. The car wash in question is a reference to Car Wash A1A, a location from the series. Both the series and this call take place in Albuquerque. The two men arguing might be an allusion to Walter White and accomplice Jesse Pinkman, two of the show's main characters, though it could be another pair of characters.
