Car Collision is a Reported Incident in 112 Operator. A common incident, it requires only police response. It has only one incident site. This incident can spawn at any stage of the game, including the very first Duty.
The incident involves two cars that have crashed with no injuries. Both drivers are at fault, and in most must they will both be fined, for a potentially large sum of money. Occasionally, one or both drivers must be arrested instead. This incident gives a poor Reputation reward, and a high penalty if ignored, but does not require a quick response.
Conditions to Spawn[]
The Car Collision incident can spawn at any stage of the game, from the very first Duty onward. This is true for all game modes.
This incident has a slightly higher chance to spawn in Business and Residential districts than it does in Slums and Industrial districts, and a much lower chance to spawn in Parks. It is much less likely to spawn during the night.
This incident can only spawn on a road.
Car Collisions happen more frequently during snow and rain.
During the first half of a Blackout Duty, Car Collisions are exceptionally common. They are a little less common during the second half.
A poorly-managed peaceful/borderline protest may spawn Car Collisions in its vicinity, though they are not very common compared to other incidents.
With The Last Duty DLC, this incident will never spawn after the Infected begin to attack.
Resolution[]
The Car Collision incident must be reached within 1200 seconds of real time (on SLOW game speed) or it will automatically fail. This is equal to half a Duty, so this incident is not very urgent.
The highest reputation reward possible for resolving this incident is +1.
The maximum possible penalty for ignoring this incident is -3, depending on multipliers from the current difficulty setting.
Scene Elements[]
The Car Collision incident contains one scene with two police elements.
Traffic Jam[]
As soon as this scene is created, it begins to generate a Traffic Jam that will expand at a rate of 0.1 along every connecting street.
The Traffic Jam will slow down all ground-based units attempting to travel through it. Smaller vehicles move faster through Traffic Jams, and airborne vehicles ignore them completely.
As soon as the scene is resolved, the Traffic Jam will begin to clear, from the center outwards.
Reputation[]
Resolving every element on this scene awards you with +1 Reputation. No element on the scene increases this award independently. You must resolve them all to receive the reward.
Ignoring the scene results in a penalty of -1 Reputation, and an extra -1 for each element left unresolved, for a maximum penalty of -3.
Description[]
The scene contains two damaged cars, with both drivers standing outside. They are both unarmed and compliant.
Both drivers are suspects who must be fined by an officer. In almost 20% of cases, one of the drivers must be arrested, without resistance. You will only receive a fine from the driver who does not require arrest. 1% of cases will require both drivers to be arrested, resulting in no fines collected.
