Car Accidents happen more than twice as often during snow, and almost twice as often during rain.
During the first half of a Blackout Duty, Car Accidents are exceptionally common. They are a little less common during the second half.
A poorly-managed peaceful/borderline protest may spawn Car Accidents in its vicinity, though they are not very common compared to other incidents.
Car Accidents are very common during an Earthquake.
With The Last Duty DLC, this incident will never spawn after the Infected begin to attack.

The Car Accident incident must be reached within 1000 seconds of real time (on SLOW game speed) or it will automatically fail. This is almost half a Duty, so this incident is not very urgent.

Scene Elements[]
The Car Accident incident contains one scene with two police elements.
Traffic Jam[]
As soon as this scene is created, it begins to generate a Traffic Jam that will expand at a rate of 0.05 along every connecting street.
The Traffic Jam will slow down all ground-based units attempting to travel through it. Smaller vehicles move faster through Traffic Jams, and airborne vehicles ignore them completely.
As soon as the scene is resolved, the Traffic Jam will begin to clear, from the center outwards.
Reputation[]
Resolving every element on this scene awards you with +2 Reputation. No element on the scene increases this award independently. You must resolve them all to receive the reward.
Ignoring the scene results in a penalty of -2 Reputation, regardless of whether any elements have been resolved.
Description[]
The scene contains two damaged cars, with both drivers standing outside. They are both unarmed and compliant.
One driver is a suspect who must be fined by an officer. In rare cases, this driver must be arrested, and will not resist. You will only receive the fine if this driver does not require arrest.
The other driver must be questioned in order to resolve the scene.
