Axe Robbery is a Scripted Call Incident featured in 911 Operator. This call has a single storyline, in which a man calls to report that his axe has been stolen. This is quickly revealed to have happened in a multiplayer video game, and the call should be ignored.

As a Scripted Call, Axe Robbery can only be triggered in Career Mode, in New York City.

Because fining the Caller gives -2 Reputation, there is no way to resolve this scenario on site without losing Reputation. The only way to gain Reputation is to IGNORE the call at just the right moment. However, in some cases a $2,000 fine may worth the penalty...

Plot[]

This call has only a single plotline. The operator may actively direct the conversation towards several endings, with one being clearly superior to the others. It is outlined here.

Summary[]

A man calls 911 to report that his axe had been stolen. His description of the incident, however, clearly indicates that something isn't right. It quickly turns out that the man was playing a video-game, in which he agreed to trade his axe for some money; but the other player took the axe without paying.

The operator explains to the man that robberies in a video-game are not cause for calling emergency services. The call is summarily ignored.

Optimal Conversation[]

Speaker Dialogue Extra Effects
Operator 911, what's your emergency? Reputation +1.
Caller I was robbed! Bastard!
WHERE?
Operator Where did it happen? Reputation set to -1.
Ignore Reputation set to 1.
IGNORE the call as soon as the caller begins to speak his next line.

Getting the Fine[]

If you have enough Reputation points and a free police unit, you may instead prefer to drive over to the caller's house and fine him for $2,000, at the cost of -2 Reputation. This is easily achievable through the path described below.

Notice, however, that the relationship between Reputation and funds paid at the end of the mission is still unclear. It's possible that 2 Reputation points would be worth more than $2,000 at the end of the duty. Use this path at your own risk!
