The Army Tactical Uniform is a personal armor in 112 Operator that can only be worn by army soldiers. It is automatically equipped on every army soldier added to your team as part of a backup unit, and cannot be removed or replaced.
The Army Tactical Uniform is mostly identical to the Tactical Uniform worn by police officers, with only a slightly higher Damage Reduction value.
Like the Tactical Uniform, the Army Tactical Uniform's +0.7 Protection Chance is the most important of its bonuses: any incoming attack has a 70% chance to be completely blocked by the armor, causing no damage to the soldier whatsoever. This even includes Shotgun blasts, which tend to cause instant injury when they do hit. This Protection Chance value is one of the highest bestowed from any source, with only the Armored Army Vehicle providing a higher value (0.95).
Note that it is currently unknown how Protection bonuses from multiple items (including the armor of the vehicle that the soldier rides in) affect each other. However, it is clear that there is a certain cap: it's not possible to attain 100% protection (e.g. by wearing an Army Tactical Uniform for 0.7 Protection, while riding in an Armored Army Vehicle for another 0.95 Protection). Some attacks will always get through.
The second bonus from the Army Tactical Uniform is a Damage Reduction bonus of +6. While it is not entirely clear how this bonus works, it reduces the Damage value of any weapon attacking the soldier by 6 points. This may either reduce the chance for the assailant to score an injuring blow to the soldier spontaneously; increase the number of times the soldier can be hit before they are automatically injured; or both. All in all, it slightly increases survivability when hit by a weapon.
Together, these two bonuses make a soldier highly resistant to incoming attacks. While they may still be unlucky enough to get injured by a criminal's very first attack, this is quite rare; most often a soldier wearing an Army Tactical Uniform will last around three to four times longer in combat than a police officer wearing no armor. With most soldiers riding around in armored vehicles, this makes them even less likely to be injured.
