An Army Rifle is a ranged weapon used only by army soldiers in 112 Operator. It cannot be purchased nor equipped on any emergency personnel. Instead, it is automatically given to any army soldiers called in as backup during a duty. The Army Rifle shares some similarities with the Rifle, but is both faster and more accurate - making soldiers extremely potent in combat with criminals or (in The Last Duty DLC) the Infected.
Overview[]
The Army Rifle is a Ranged Weapons that is only available to army soldiers. It is automatically added to the equipment of each soldier when they are added to your team as part of an army backup unit. Since soldiers are removed from the roster at the end of the duty, there is no way to edit their gear, remove the Army Rifle, or replace it with any other weapon. There is no way to purchase an Army Rifle for any of your normal emergency personnel.
The Army Rifle is identical to the Rifle in some ways, but is superior in others.
The Army Rifle is a ranged weapon with a 15m range. It can shoot at any target so long as there is a clear line of sight. Otherwise, the soldier will move until the target is within line of sight.
The Army Rifle has a Firing Rate of 3 - the fastest firing rate of any weapon in the game, tied with the Machine Gun. That means it fires one shot every 3 seconds of real time (on SLOW game-speed). It is 33% faster than a normal Rifle, and more than three times as fast as a Handgun.
The weapon itself has an Accuracy rating of 30% (1.5 times higher than a normal Rifle). In other words, the chance to hit the target with each attack is equal to 30% of the soldier's own Accuracy skill. For example, a soldier with 80% Accuracy only has a 24% chance to hit the target with each attack of the Army Rifle. The firing rate, however, more than makes up for this; With so many bullets flying about, there's still a high chance that at least one might actually hit. As a result, Army Rifles are almost as useful in the hands of the least skilled soldiers as they are in the hands of the most skilled.
The Army Rifle has a Damage rating of 0.33, giving it a relatively good chance of injuring the opponent with each hit, instantly taking them out of the fight and requiring them to be treated and transported to hospital. By the third hit, the suspect is guaranteed to be injured. Note that some suspects may surrender first (especially if they are not hardened criminals who are determined to fight), requiring an arrest instead of medical treatment.
Overall, these traits make the Army Rifle one of the most powerful weapons in the game, with the possible exception of the Machine Gun. It is extremely effective during firefights, even against large groups of terrorists or The Infected - which are the main reason you'd want army soldiers on your team in the first place.
